Tesco have an offer on of half price pan sets at the mo with the Professional Go Cook 3 Piece Copper Saucepan Set reduced down from £100 to £50, it's not showing as included the £10 off wys £40 with code TDX-VM3N promo but I tested the code on the set & it took another £10 off at checkout, making it £40.

Good reviews & I thought it was a decent price for copper saucepans.

Part of the Professional Go Cook range, this 3-piece copper pan set makes a high-quality addition to any cookware collection. With copper exteriors, the pans heat up quickly and evenly, and retain heat well. Each pan comes with a glass lid stainless steel riveted handles, which offer safe and easy handling. The pans are suitable for all hobs except induction.

Set includes 16cm, 18cm and 20cm saucepans.

Looking at the reviews, it seems this set is half price often, but a good deal and I've purchased after looking at these sort of pans for years.

Are these not difficult to clean the copper?

Heat, love cooking with copper pots, less burnt food as it spreads faster and better the heat better. easy to clean these lined ones and does not taint the food like old pure copper.

I have had these for about 6 months, insides are still great but outsides started to look a bit rubbish very quickly. I figured it was how they were supposed to look but I'm unsure!

I'd definitely spend some time shopping around before you buy saucepans. A good set of pans like this should last you years, maybe even 20-30 years. Last pans I bought are about five years old and still going strong but weren't this brand.

As I understand it, yes, keep one set for show and one set for cooking I have read, if you want to keep them all shiny like. Otherwise the copper discolours very quickly as std.
Mine are going in a drawer, so I don't care, but the cooking aspect will be worth it I hope.

Obviously these aren't copper pans. They will have a thin copper coating. So will have no cooking advantage. A proper set of these copper pans would be about £600!

poor quality pans, they will be fine to cook on but budget to replace within 2 to 3 years. As sotomonkey says you can get much better quality for not a lot more money by doing some research e.g. John Lewis (when on offer) and ProCook

Can't comment on these specifically but copper pans turn a gorgeous colour after a few months heavy use. Just don't put them in a dishwasher!

I love a copper bottom! But in all honestly they are a nightmare to clean. Ketchup or bicarb and vinegar are better than shop bought cleaners for cooper. :)

They would cost something like this if they were copper...

But these are £40, so yeah, obviously.

We have the entire set of these.. frying pan, sautée pan, stock pot. The saucepans are the only thing that still hold their quality, but don't expect the copper colour to stay. Buy at half price but if you want a really good set of pans, I'd go back to Marks and Spencer.
