good price, will only buy uk versions personally as i can trade them in once finished, rather than the hassle of flea bay. this will be in the 2 for £60 on pc world / currys, just need to wait a little longer.

is this a better game than forza
#6
Get the feeling it's just as good but semi-arcade so a nice pair! plus MOTORBIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been caught up in the hype of PGR 2 and 3. Im not going to get 4 because PGR is a boring arcade racer. I only ever played a couple of tracks on 2 and 3 before getting bored.

Get Forza 2, its a much better game and theres alot more in it.
#8
This or Halo 3-Aaaargh?!?!?

Anyone quite trust the region free-ness of a game thats not even out yet?
#9
could someone advise a novice on region free games please do you need to get english version thanks for any advice
#10
Great Deal Just ordered one.
#11

re Forza 2 - I couldnt get into it, much more sim like...this is more accessible for people who dont car about fine tuning their car to the 'nth degree and painting pretty pictures on their wing mirrors

PGR2 was fantastic and pinnacle of the series. The third game was pretty rubbish in comparison. How is four going to measure up? well I fear another like the last one. :-(
#16
all the reviews are either 9/10, but as one poster said, Official 360 mag gave it 10/10...the perfect racing game
#17
You'll most likely be taxed as its over £18.
#18
some people have order loads of things from them and never been taxed. Some havnt been so lucky but I think "most likely" is a little strong.

Last time I ordered from Play-asia was for crackdown on release day and wasn't taxed on that.

I don't think the value was declared on the outside of the package either..

good deal, placing my order now!

Did anyone else notice they have pre-orders for official light blue and pink controllers and battery packs too? Wonder if were about to see multi coloured 360's in the near future!

I wouldn't of thought so. Let's hope not.

I've ordered from them about 8 times now and never have been. Luck of the draw i guess.
#23
excellent price, heat and rep added
#24
Gettin the UK copy for £30 anyway. Next week though :-(
#25
what delivery method is best to use from these guys
#26
Great find, just ordered so hopefully it will be here before the official release.
#27
quality, just ordered

shame about the Royal Mail Strike tho, means we wont get the game till Wed/Thur/Fri next week, still good deal tho
#28
i can get this instead of halo

got the darkness from play asia last week and i wasnt charged tax, got here about a week after ordering

this was £22 a few days ago but £24 is still better that £40 :)

How did you pay the tax Craig B? Do they hold your stuff until it's paid or do they send an invoice along with it?

Here's the review at IGN, a healthy 9.1.

When I've been taxed they've put a note through the door (similar to the one if you've been out) saying they have the package but needs payment or I've been sent a letter that they have the item, latter was for a larger item.

This is very tempting, anyone know if there's any system link issues with different region games?

Not a bad deal, Still I'd rather pay the £30 and get it from game.

Don't forget everyone that Royal Mail are on strike 4th - 10th October so more than likely you'll still receive it on or after release day unless you go with UPS.

Voted Hot !

sorry i meant to say i WASNT paid tax lol
#33

And don't forget that if you do get stung, there's another £8 from the PO (or £10+ from a courier) as a handling charge, so you could be looking at £38.

Given you're unlikely to get this until release day anyway (due to the PO strikes) and Blockbuster will more than likely have it for £34.99 (or less) I for one would rather just guarantee I'll only be paying £35 and wait.

Add 17.5% VAT to the total (inc postage) then add the £8 Post Office handling charge, plus your time/costs to get to the PO depot. You won't get charged import duty as that will be below £7 (unless they get confused about what it is).

Ive ordered quite a few games from Play-Asia (about 10 over the last year).Ive never been stung for VAT once.So yes its a risk but one I reckon its well worth taking.Keep an eye on eBay item 110175830420 (Promo with no instructions !!!) All my region free games work exactly the same as the PAL versions. No problems on Xbox Live either (USA gets the game today as well so they'll be plenty of people to play on it even before 12th).

Thanks for the comments and rep.I just wonder how many of the cold votes came from PS3 owners !.:)
#38
chances of getting stung by import tax arent that high, ordered plenty from playasia and havent been charged yet, as above alot of people seem to get this 1 in 10 ratio of getting charged
#39
All gone anyway now

Voted hot, good deal, even if it is delayed because of the strikes. Play Asia are usually spot on. And the four reveiws I have seen of PGR4 all say its excellent and brings the series back to form. Cheers mate looking forward to this.

I support the poor posties in their strike. Just remember its not over pay, its the strings that are attached to it. Dont belive RM's propaganda.
