For the people that REALLY don't understand.

The Disc is useless, the disc is simply the free to download shell of the game.

The value here is the included DLC (via code) which is about £60 if bought digitally on the store.

I've never really opened the game on Xbone since downloading it, is there literally nothing to play until you pay to download content?

@ludwig, the free game has crossroads adventure with there is a few hours of play if not more until all variations of the quests have been done and can be replayed to level characters or earn credits to purchase stuff for game creation, some achievements too for a free to play game. The creating side is fairly limited with out additional purchases but will take a while to get the hang of even with it being simple and playing around with 'brains' of items or characters can probably kill time like mine craft. Peoples creations (thatmay have bought and paid for additional content) can be played for free so you have a lot of access to games. I'm not entirely sure after messing around with it (for a short period, lvl 10 in crossroads on both characters and an hour of creating, two hours of community games) how it can be used for anything other than light fableesque games though some of the horror community games have been good but a little short. the thrid person shooters seem to be the most awkward so far.
Having said all that is probably gotten 6-12 hours in total over the past two weeks and I just picked up the game on disc for the added content (paid £17 :( ) as it allows episode 1 of adventure mode, more creation tools and some more stuff (realistically the creation tools cant be bought from free play as it would take years to grind the credits in game, just a stone costs a lot lol). Something for me to mess about with and a basic games design thing that interests my son. The free version and access to community designs/mess around is great. is it of value for £15 yes, will you be able to create amazing things on it? doubtful. It has potential and I'll get my moneys worth out of what I've paid and I think others would too though it can be a bit lack luster at times through the eyes of an adult. People pay for Disney Infinity (toy box mode), its some what comparable and playable for free, no toys to buy, and cheap enough for the paid version.

Thanks for that, really useful. My machine is locked away now until after christmas but it's good to know what I'll have to go at after that.
