Right......:whistling:

Works out more economical to buy creatine powder as although you get a huge number of tablets you have to take a huge amount to take a dose.

My hubby uses creatine after training - mainly its used for people who train using weights for muscle repair and muscle growth and also to aid recovery after training

^^ Thats about as much as I know - i'm sure there will be more knowledgeable responses as well

It could do ... though people sometimes find it easier to take in capped form

me.

Creatine mono just makes you recover quicker and increases muscular endurance, I personally find when I take it that I lift more weight. It also helps send the protein and other nutrients more efficiently.

If you google creatine some people say it its just a placebo, while others swear by it, but for £10 you cant really moan.

there are minor sideeffects, like diarrhoea for a few days (depends on the person) but nothing long term.

You're thinking of protein. Taking creatine before and during training helps you to keep going . It resynthesises Adenosine triphosphate from adenosine diphosphate as the creatine gives up its' phosphate. This is vital for anaerobic respiration (high intensity exercsie without oxygen, such as weightlifting). As a side effect, it also makes you look stacked because it makes the body retain water in the muscles.

Sorry for the geek fest, but now you know. - maybe

aint heard that one before.

I was on the lookout for this..thinking to start taking this but was scared of any side effects....did read up in regards to it resynthesizing ATP, so increases energy in one.....so more reps can be achieved as well.

At least no long term side effects lol

I prefer caps as you don't have to mix with water of preferabbly a dextrose based drink. I have tried some of the powders and they weren't that pleasant tended to make me fa^t a lot which other people didn't find pleasant.

All down to personal preference in the end though

Don't think the loading period really matters & 3g (4caps) pre & post workout should suffice. Good price.

Maybe the low date code explains the frequent lav trips ?
#27
Thats what I've been trying to mention...it states 11/2008 so I guess if you use it after that then a lot of trips to the toilet are going to happen? lol
#28
The creatine will be fine. Generally the chemical compound is good for about 5 years, its the carrier it is in that starts to degrade.

As for mono, you do need really to be taking it with dextrose/malto/OJ to shuttle it into the body (using the bodies insulin response of a high GI to pull it thro the stomach/intestinines and digested and used ASAP.

It works simply beause it causes the muscle to retain water. Because water makes up about 70% of muscle, more water = more size. A greater amount of muscle gives (not in a totally linear manner) gives a greater lifting capacity.

FWIW for me mono is **** and CEE works ok. I'd rather be taking the real deal rather than poorer sups like these i'm afraid :)

Creatine mono just makes you recover quicker

Do you mean energy wise, or the actual trauma to your muscles and connective tissue?

If the latter, how does it do that, then?

Or do you mean it helps with neural fatigue?

black gerbil1
and increases muscular endurance

I'll buy that (for a dollar) but everything after that, and I think you are overselling it - either that, or I've got a bridge to sell you...

black gerbil1

Really?

How does it do that, then?

I'm getting the whole energy thing, OK, but not this whole other wonder-drug thing.
