I bought an 18inch fan similar to this a few years ago from B&Q and its very good.

At the time, they had smaller versions available too but they looked too small for even an average sized room.

This comes across more like a personal desk type fan.

BTW, B&Q are also selling a similar one but for a little more at £7.98.

Is it powered by mains, batteries or USB? It doesn't say

Just got one from my local Comet, its Mains powered....

CONS - isnt very big and doesnt give out much airflow

PROS - Really Quiet (Gonna pick up a few more for the kids bedrooms - Perfect for a bedside table) and looks awesome (Especially next door to a mac lol)

they are only FOUR INCHES long?! what's the point? thats a face fan at best. Totally not worth the money. Rated cold.

4 inches... that's... useless.

The other half says she needs more than 4 inches to feel the efect across the room

All depends really, the wife likes a soft bed, I like hard beds, so we've a dual mattress, same with heat, i like it cold..
therefore if I have a regular sized fan blowing in the night she moans she's frozen, so a small directed air flow "spot" can make all the difference.

(that said I do like my noisy old 18 incher) "ooer"

can anyone state size please? I don't have much desk space, but would be great if this would fit!

its 4 inch fan. as it says in description. I ordered one, and to be honest, its crap.. the battery powered
hand held ones have more power.. Dont bother, get a bigger one.. !

i meant the unit size, not the blade size, it might not have a massive effect but I really don't have much space, so it's better than nothing!

go for it then.. very small.. will fit on even the smallest desk.
