A tip, if its not on the shelf ASK It does sell very quickly. Not sure if they keep it in the back for a reason. I have had to ask if its in stock, my last two purchases. I DO now buy a bakers dozen at a time. Heck it would be criminal if I ran out.

A baker's dozen? Why? A normal dozen isn't quite enough?

Been drinking this for years. I remember when it was £2.99 when I first started drinking it. It was listed on HUKD 5 years ago. Shame it's gone up so much. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/italian-prosecco-for-3-49-445824

The Aldi one which is £5.99 (I think) is the best one I've tasted, never been able to find the Lidl one in stock.

Seem to be getting a lot more stock in these days. I think it's taken off similarly to the Nespresso Capsules I can always get them when I go too.

Barrentine Meths is £3.50 a 500ml bottle in Cotswold Outdoor, or £7 per litre. This wine works out £7.19 per litre and comes in a far nice bottle!

Crazy world where you can sometimes get a half decent bottle of wine for less than methylated spirit! No wonder we're a nation of p*ss heads!

Drink wisely, my friends and don't over-imbibe.

I miss living in a ski-resort and paying 3€ for a bottle of prosecco. That and Aperol Spritz (or Veneziano's!) for €3.50...on the slopes!

Prosecco with a shot of Amaretto - lovely drink!

Make your own poor mans French 75 - glass of Prosecco, gin and lemon, stick a cherry in too to imprez de laydeez!
Get the lady recipient to do the Audrey Home twist, if she can't do it, get an upgrade!!!

Oh, decent gin too. None of your Gordon's or Bombay Sapphire, make it a proper gin of quality - current fave is Harrington Dry Gin from Warner Edwards, or if your not so posh then Hendricks but it's not your normal taste.

If anyone spots a decent sub £30 price for Harringtons, shout me please!!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Methylated-Spirit-5L-Free-Tape-Measure-/181484313653?pt=UK_Antiques_Architecural_RL&hash=item2a414edc35

Crazy world where people are stupid enough to make idiotic comparisons that are just frankly false. Wine is never going to be cheaper than methylated spirits, because one of the two isn't taxed. Sure you can go out of your way to try find a small enough bottle to jack up the price and try use that as justification for your statement, but it doesn't change it from being wrong.
