According to an Amazon review, this thing runs on watch batteries. That can't be a good thing.

You can get a big pack of them out of poundland and they last along time aswell, I use them in the lights under my desk :)

PMSL amazon review By Aydo (UK) - See all my reviews
The product contains three watch batteries and is turned on/off by twisting the cap to make contact. I don't know what the bulb is, but either it's completely rubbish or the batteries arrived nearly dead, because I had to shine the thing directly in my eye just to tell if it was on or not.

Cheap, but avoid - there are plenty of good, bright LED torches for around a tenner, and this was a total waste of money.
