Just back from my local Lidl and they were queuing outside at 8.00Am for these. I managed to get one but some people where grabbing the lot. I heard one OAP shouting I was first in and never even got. I was behind a few people in the Que and one woman had at least 6 of them :( . So if your thinking of going to get one of these don't bother I think they will have all sold out before 9.am.

Too late for one of these!

Got one of these last time they were on offer. You need to remember that they are not 'one size fits all'. In fact mine only stretches from the windscreen to the 'top' of the back window. The side windows are not fully covered also on my Peugot 307. It tells you the exact measurements of how far it will stretch on the packaging! So have a look before you buy!

The best thing you can do is to put your car model into ebay and get one that fits it exactly and covers your car completely. I saw them for mine for about 10.99 incl p+p. Wish I spent the extra fiver and got one of those instead of having a pathetically half covered car.

What if someone just decides to steal it of your car?

Can anyone who's used one of these comment on how long it takes to put on your car?

Might consider getting one, but if it takes as long to put on as it does to get the ice off it kinda defeats the point!

Thanks

quickclear front screen,less hassle ! ;)

A few days ago I paid £60 for a large one from Halfords. It's done the job beautifully - no longer have to scrape the ice off the windows. It was expensive, though!

There are straps that fasten under the car to make it a bit more difficult to pinch, but they're a hassle.

A fight practically broke out at 10am this morning in my store over the last 3 remaining. Others had to step in to seperate an elderly man and some woman with big hair.

Cold water you mean, Hot water can shatter your windscreen.

So basically, if some one wanted to steal this, how long would it take.

I couldn't see out of mine, so had to cut a windscreen-sized hole out the front.

Creates more problems than it solves

I bought one last year, used it twice and it ripped.

Just for the record them come in different sizes, I saw medium, L/XL and Estate they had quite a few this morning in the one near Laindon.

Some people are buying these cheap and then definitely selling on ebay. That is very unfortunate, but true. Car cover is so very easy to fit and no flippin scraping, just pull the cover off. Need to get one myself but missed Lild offer.
