Awful Feedback on this game, hence the low price... Stay Clear.

Eurogamer gave it a 7/10
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/brothers-in-arms-hells-highway-review
"At this point, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway represents little more than a solid evolution of the original, as opposed to being the game which takes strategic World War II action to dizzy new heights. With an engaging but ultimately repetitive play mechanic at its core, it deserves a decent amount of respect, but its charms wane rather than grow as it progresses. With little more than a rooftop sniper interlude and a trio of tank driving segments to break up the flow, Hell's Highway is short on surprises after the first few hours. It's by no means a failure, but simply lacks the inspiration to make it a must-have."

well worth £13 and just sell on when completed for possible profit.

Brothers in Arms is one of the best World War Two video game series on any game platform, combining smart and adaptive artificial intelligence, emotional gameplay and a great cast of realistic characters. These and many more features show how powerful this game series has become. From the original Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and its sequel Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood, Hells Highway is a brilliant third game in this classic series, building off of the first two games in style.

great price, im really liking the fact that ps3 games are getting so much cheaper now. who needs platinum titles!

Reviews seem all to be of a higher opinion than of the general public. I thought this game was terrible. Not knocking the price cause its the cheapest I have seen

I brought this game the other day off ebay (£11.50). The reviews on play.com seem ok. Main reason I brought it was that people said it was a slow game (less frantic than COD4) and like vegas, which I thought was brill (again this gets so-so reviews).

Yet to play it so I can't really give an opinion.

Yep - it is a cross between cod4 and vegas. Its not quite as good as GRAW2 but still worth a good go. Give it more than an hour as for some reason, the gameplay / graphics get better after the first couple of levels. WEIRD!

metacritic average of 76/100 is not a bad score at all.

Am playing it at the moment, started 2 days ago and have just got to the end.

I must admit to not feeling great about it straight away, but after getting used to the controls and the game mechanics - I will be sorry to see it finish (Single player).

For the money it's a great buy !

Two days???
This is my main problem these days, the eight hours gameplay. People saying COD4 is great even though you get 6 hours for £35-£40....yes I know multiplayer is there but 6 hours!!
I hear COD5 is just as bad.

To me a game must last 18-20 hours minimum.

agreed, thats why like the rainbow 6 series, didnt used to be a fan...but when you get used the controls and slow pace and the unforgiving ai of the opponents even on easy....awesome.....completed rs6 2, thought it was so good i bought rs6 1 (not as good graphics but better environments)
as stated, heard this game is cross between cod and rainbow 6, i bought it last week from blockbusters for 14.98 and havent played it yet...lol...too many games and fifa09 and raindow 6 1 and 2 have taken my time up

with a few exceptions, youd have to be insane to pay over £25 for any game now

This game has more than two days of play in it, unless you're playing it in marathon sessions or you're playing on easy. I'd reccommend playing on the normal difficulty (you have to unlock hard) and you should get a good 10-12 challenging yet rewarding hours out of it.

Personally I really liked this game. Bought it in the HMV sale for about £16 and it was well worth it at that price so this is a steal.

Heated up.

I have to say that I love the terrorist hunt of the Rainbow six games. I've played (& completed) both of them and I totally agree that R1 has far better environments.
I've since sold R1 but still play R2 terrorist hunts on-line with a friend of mine, great fun.

However I really miss the terrorist hunt in the old Mexican town of R1.

There really isn't like the terrorist hunt (ie you&friend against an AI) in other games (Resistance2 is close though) BUT I hope that KillZone with its BOTS will provide a similar experience.

And just to balance things out, the lowest rating on Metacritic for this game is :-

58/100 at gamerevolution.com

At its heart, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway is a solid squad-based WWII combat game. Your squads do as their told and are even capable of doing some intelligent thinking for themselves. However, the game falters in its basic FPS controls. The core strategy doesn’t change much, and when it does, you sense the game’s weaknesses all the more. If you can’t wait for the next Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six game to get your tactical FPS fix, Hell’s Highway might satisfy your immediate thirst. For the rest of you, go shoot a BB gun at some leftover meatloaf. It’ll be a lot cheaper, more visceral, and hell of a lot more fun.
