Nice! £22 for Sports Champ!
#3
Nice, I just hope they are not just wii games in HD. I've come to expect a little more from my PS3.

I think the first generation of games that have been specifically made for Move will be Wii Games in HD.
If you look at the trailer for Sports Champions it is just a nicer looking Wii Sports. Saying that though, I can't wait! Woo!

If you took a look at the current list of Move enabled games, you may disagree.
There are some great games at the moment lined up for Move, such as:

Killzone 3
Resident Evil 5
Dead Space
Infamous 2
Littlebigplanet 2
Socom 4
Latest Tiger Woods and NBA games
Heavy Rain
Flower
MAG
Pain

And of course there will be even better ones in the future.

While the decision to include a sports compilation is an obvious nod to wii sports. I've read a massive ammount of hands-on previews of "Sports Champions" and the overwhelming opion is that it is a much more immersive product than wii sports. The true 1:1 tracking is supposed to be exceptional. I have real faith that this product will be much more than wii sports HD. Also there are murmers of DLC to come meaning that there will most likely additional sports added at a later date.

None of which were SPECIFICALLY made for Move, all have move features/updates. As I said in my post the games made specifically for Move are the Wii type games.

Hardly any developers will create a game specifically for Move as they would be missing out on the massive audience that do not own Move.
If you compare it to the Wii, every game has to integrate the motion controller somehow, whereas the PS3 has a proper Dualshock controller and that is what most games are set up for.

You will be lucky to see more than a dozen games specifically made for move i'm sure, unless the number of people owning and using Move is in very high numbers and which would make it logical to produce.

If "TV Superstars" is like "Mario & Sonic at the (Winter) Olympics" or "Wii Sports Resorts", and "Sports Champions" is like "Wii Sports", then there is always...

Beat Sketcher
Create
Echocrome II
EyePet: Move Edition
Get Fit With Mel B
Heavy Rain: Move Edition
Raquet Sports
SingStar Dance
SingStar Guitar Star
Sorcery
Start The Party! (probably like the "Wii Play" title)
The Fight
The Shoot ("Links Crossbow Training"?)
Time Crisis: Razing Storm
Tron Evolution

All *can* be played with conventional (SIXAXIS/DUALSHOCK(r)3) controllers, yes, but then many Wii games can be played with GameCube/Classic controllers too.

I prefer playing "Mario Kart Wii" with a GameCube controller.

However, to liken one title to another is going to happen, but it doesn't mean you cannot enjoy both, or prefer one to the other.

Choice for the consumer is important. If Sony only released First Person Shooter titles, or Sports titles, then they would alienate certain groups of people who would not be able to make use of the new technology (for the PS3).

BFN,

fp.
