This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Just saw this in my local (Crystal Palace/Selhurst Park) Sainsburys. Not had a chance to see if it's a much better deal than anywhere else. But, it's the cheapest on HUKD at the mo

There's been better offers that include games + console rrp for £130-150, best was Asda console + 10 games that had less heat and that was 4 weeks ago. Everyone splurging after Christmas! Heat added for find though.

For those arguing slim vs OLED, I actually sold my 'phat' to buy the newer version. I didnt really like the oversaturated colours of the OLED and the slim feels better in the hands for longer gaming sessions. The built in memory, extra battery life and ease of charging with any old usb charger were more important to me. In 'realistic' games like Uncharted, LCD actually looks better unless you want eye popping colours in games like Geometry Wars.
Bottom line is dont be put off this by those who prefer OLED. Unless you had them side by side you wouldnt notice any difference.

I ended up with the console from Sainsbury's (£99.99) and the Adventure Pack 8GB card from Argos (£29.99 and includes proper Vita games like Uncharted, Tearaway and Gravity Rush instead of PSP ports) for a total of just under £130. Don't forget that if you want FM14 Classic then it's on sale on PSN now for about £7 I think, although apparently it's not a great version due to poor menu/navigation and slow match processing. People with PS3 Minecraft might also be eligible for the Vita version for free depending on whether they have the cross-play version (or something to do with the date they bought it). If you haven't already got Minecraft then it's £12.85 on Amazon or £9.90 on Rakuten with the code Xmas5.

Worked out well for me because I had free Sainsbury's giftcard to use up!

Jack of all trades, master of none.
Touch screen controls are a joke for all but the simplest to control games. And a lot of phones just aren't designed for gaming, they will thermal throttle performance of 3D games resulting in even poorer performance.

Our local Sainburys is weird, it has a small (Rubbish) section for games but you have to ask if there is something not on the shelves and they do have other things which aren't out on display but don't advertise the fact.

Just phoned 4 different local stores near me and as expected none of them stock games, they act as if you're stupid for asking aswell! Turns out there is only 3 locals in the whole south west which stock games!! I have no idea why this deal is getting hot, yes it's a good price but everyone's just jumping on the band wagon when only a fraction of people will actually be able to get them!

don't think the OP meant he/she saw it at a convenience store. looks like a normal supermarket display in the image.

That's just **** with people's minds! Am I really the only one who thought he meant this deal is at sainsbury's local stores because he put local?

Sorry, put 'local' 'cos it's local to me. But, it's a big Supermarket. Look up 'Selhurst Park' or 'Crystal Palace' Branch

Original is far superior, but people were worried as it has BLOTCHES (understandably) when dark/off.

It's not currently cracked, I'm afraid, but it does emulate PSN PS1 titles very well - two analogue sticks having a few PSP emulations also as nicer. Sony lost the big picture, in my opinion, with restricting the Vita to 1 account and deterring hacking, failing to realize it's the reason the PSP became as popular: highly open/flexible as a system.

Why would a worker in a supermarket stop someone buying all of them? … Why would a worker in a supermarket stop someone buying all of them? Thats what shops are there to do sell stock. If this story was true and I was her manager she would be facing some tough questions.

If you need it explaining then....

I agree. And I bet they wouldn't be so strict if a staff member wanted to … I agree. And I bet they wouldn't be so strict if a staff member wanted to buy the lot themselves! When all those Tesco Hard Drive deals get put up on HUKD, you phone them and they don't have any? You can bet your bottom Dollar the staff have their own little stash out the back! I know that if I worked in a shop and Head Office said, 'OK, put all the PS4s & Xbox Ones down to £149', I'd be taking the shop phone off the hook until my boot's full!! ;-)

Not everyone is as greedy as some....hard to imagine in this selfish world but actually true....

Basically if you had a new console ie ps4 you could not setup and verify your online account. Which meant you couldn't download the games you got with console, couldn't play anything online, couldn't download patches and updates. Couldn't play single player using your psn account so no achievements or progress saved (so pointless for most)

If you think the impact is being over played I suggest you check out the psn twitter feeds and forums. Sony getting a huge amount of hate for the way they handled this, it's made worse because psn has a reputation for being a terrible service and Sony have had serious problems with it numerous times before - hacked and taken down completely for a month, all users personal and banking details stolen by hackers, online games ruined with people with hacked ps3 having unfair cheats and advantages. Etc etc etc.

LOL!! Sorry, I was 'having a moment'! Got fed up with the people saying the Slim is not as good as the original. Dis-regarding the fact that it's a good deal regardless.

I've had my breakfast now, and my blood sugar is back to normal!! ;-)

Or here's an idea, perhaps people do not have any nearby Sainbury's with the Vita in stock? Perhaps they prefer Amazon's warranty support over Sainsbury's? Perhaps they have Prime and would prefer next day delivery over driving down to Sainsbury's?

Nothing like a Monday for complete strangers to be crying and wailing at you, eh OP?

The fact some of them are going to the effort of hiding behind disposable accounts to give you negative attention is a strong indicator of how good your deal is

Can confirm there is stock of the slim model in Sainsbury's Preston at £99.99 - which I went in to buy originally. But they were also selling off the older model vitas. Managed to pick up an old model bundle for £99.99 with Tearaway, Little Big Planet 3 and a 16GB memory card. Worth it if you arent bothered for the slim model
