Great price. Great game. Great console. But the Vita seems slightly overlooked at the moment. I mean, Vice City on iOS for £2.99 and the Vita has to make do with the PSP version for £11.99. I do love my Vita though.

just noticed that if you add rayman it comes to around £142
#9
Thanks golfer2007, will add that to the description

forgot to add that you have to add both items on the bundles page in order to knock 15 euros off the price

Superb price, could nab £20+ for LBP on Ebay and spend it on a memory card - of course that's if you don't want LBP.
#12
HOT! But Rayman now showing OOS, not worth delaying shipment when you can buy a UK hard copy for £13 or DL for even less - especially if already a PS+ user.

Hmm this is quite tempting at this price, is there any games that are worth buying one for though? Bearing in mind I don't enjoy the Uncharted series.

Wow, I've never heard anyone say they don't like uncharted :O

But you could also check out Gravity Rush, Resistance, Mod Nation Racers, Rayman, LBP

No it's not crazy. It's actually crazy how the small number of people who have bough these expect them to be a success. They are NOT going to be. If you look beyond your gaming bubble and realise what's actually going on out there then you would soon agree.

The fact is the experience a Vita gives people is that of high quality graphics in a portable form factor. But graphics intensive gaming requires more development. That incurs more cost. The more development costs need a larger return on investment, that you only get from a large installed user base. The last figures I saw were something like only 2.2m sold worldwide as of October I think. That's pretty small. That's not going to attract developers to spend money making games for it. Developers will prefer to develop for platforms where there is the most money to be made - like the iOS App Store, which has hundreds of millions of users now with iPhones, iPods and iPads.

Why do you want to have a big screen experience on a tiny screen? Most people have a home console and a huge TV to play an already huge library of high quality games on, while sitting on a comfy sofa.

The Japanese are loosing touch with the west. They understand their market where most of the population commute to work into the cities everyday via the subway/train, where they do spend a lot of time mobile gaming. The west mostly commute in cars and so can't sit and play a mobile game in the same way.

Also the cost of Vita titles (from new) is very high in comparison to the App Store which also doesn't bode well for the future of the device against the relatively cheap cost on other App Stores. But again they have to charge a lot because the devs are trying to recoup the high development costs.

The Vita was sadly doomed from it's inception due to the lack of understanding and ignorance of Sony. It will only get cheaper along with the already released games. But don't expect much in the way of new titles in the coming years.

#18
Another great price for this. Increasingly tempted as the price keeps getting lower.

the expensive memory cards are the only things putting me off this

This is VERY VERY tempting now at this price.

I have to say I'm more impressed with SONYs handhelds from the last 2 generations. Bought a DS Lite some yrs ago believing it to be the superior handheld console but sold it within 2 months as it just bored me with its copycat games.
Finally made the plunge 18 months ago to buy a PSP & I regret not buying 1 sooner tbh. So much more fun & diverse games available, & a much more diverse console too!

Bought a 3DS last yr believing the hype, & again it was sold within a wk. The 3D effect is pointless (as it is with TV's imo), games were so so or remakes of old Nintendo games & it felt VERY fragile.

Now looking into getting a PS Vita, & this 1 is less than the cost of a regular 3DS!!

I think that you will need a lead fro three pin plug to kidney/figure of 8 to go into the transformer. If you don't already have one they are available online from a couple of pounds.

will the console and game be in german? danke

1. The power cable is 2 pin plug

2. i'm not sure about the game but the cover is English

3. i don't check all those printed material but some of them is English. The console is in English when i switch on the Vita at the 1st time.
#26
if there is a problem with the product will Amazon UK assist with returns or would you have to give through Amazon Germany?
#27
So you say the power cable is 2 pin that means you have to buy a charger as someone earlier seemed to suggest i wouldnt.
#28
Just need an adapter plug, not a charger.

Around £2 online or more in electrical retailers.
#29
Great deal - heated

Pity I didnt see the offer on friday - Im away from Friday so cant take the chance that the good old Royal Mail will f**** it up and delivery it on saturday, leave it behind the bin and make some cold callers xmas :(

Or cut the 2 pin plug off and replace with a 3 pin one.

I would trust a Nintendo product to have a bit more of a bashing and survive than a Sony product. You only have to look at drop tests to see the 3DS has no higgles at all.

I don't understand German how do I buy? Sorry I'm a bit confused at this lol someone reply please many thanks. I'm new to this site

If you are able to use google chrome for your browser, it can translate. It is mostly correct. If you are used to using amazon uk, most of the screen layout is also the same.

Actually it isn't as Vice City on iOS is just a port and Vice City Stories on PSP is a thing of it own, specifically developed for that console. Once PS2 Classics can be played on Vita and Vice City is out on PSN you'll never play the iOS again. :)

Good point! I think what definitely is crazy is Sony's pricing for PSN downloads of old games. Vice City on the Vita has been reduced from time to time but still then at around £5. The iOS version is £2.99 at the moment, for a properly reworked version, with HD graphics and that will be 69p at some point soon, and that includes Apple's rather large slice. Wake up Sony! I'd much rather play the likes of VC on a Vita with physical controllers, and would pay a bit extra for the 'privelage'.

It's actually sent Royal Mail 1st Class from within the UK, so you will get it before Christmas
