This very useful when the PS/2 keyboard or mouse port was broken and happens to have lots of free USB slots. This is a cheaper alternative to convert your PS/2 mouse or keyboard instead of buying a seperate USB mouse/keyboard.

You can also get ones with both keyboard and mouse on one cable which is very handy for IT types who just want to carry an old ps2 keyboard and mouse (cheaper and lighter than carrying both types).

Some of them say windows 7 supported but the generic one I got just listed xp and still worked fine so I would say you could ignore that.

This will only work if you have a combination usb and ps/2 keyboard. Many aren't and this doesn't contain any converter harder.

Never had much luck with these, as I mentioned in the other thread, I had great success with the Belkin PS2-USB lead adaptor and no luck with these cheapo versions.

results may vary depending on hardware.

Certainly didn't work with an older Microsoft keyboard on OS X

Bought one of these from focalprice.com a few months ago for around 58p, if I remember right.
