This is for Playstation 2, not 3.

I was after some PS2 controllers a couple of months back and these were £10 at the time. Looked again today and they're £2.99. OK, it's going to appeal to a small niché, but I've got them and I can't complain. Mixed reviews from argos, but they work at the moment and for the price, I can't complain.

Hope this is of use to someone.

if these are wireless do they have a wireless receiver?
as the ps2 doesnt have a wireless receiver built in then yes, how else is it going to connect?:|

I think in the usb ports. Not 100% sure though

They might if you have a PS2 to PS3 USB controller adaptor

I had a PS2 wireless controller that had a regular PS2 controller fitting and that works with my USB adaptor, but compatibility varies, so it's something you'd have to take a risk on.

Great deal, been looking for some for my ps2, and to use with my laptop. I wonder if this will work with them: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000MLRL1I/ref=mp_s_a_8?qid=1291483766&sr=8-8

good price, what are there controllers like, butttons feel decent?
also is there any lag because its wireless?
#13
I could do with some for PC actually for emulators.
#14
I have these..when they work they are great but the battery connections do play up a lot..but worth it at this price..
#15
the reviews for these are awful, bit missing, bits broken, etc
not a single person says they work for more than a week

I've had these for about 5 months now and they've worked fine.

Connect with the adaptor into the normal controller ports and then turn on the controller to sync to the adaptor. Unlike the 360 & PS3, if the battery dies in the controller the PS2 doesn't do anything, so always make sure the batteries (4xAAA for each) are decently charged/new-ish

Lag isn't really all that noticeable with them, about ~0.2s at most

Buttons have a nice feel and responsive too, but the analog sticks do grip quite a lot (you can choose if that's a good thing or not!)

worth a punt my kids love the ps2.
#18
anybody knows if i can use them on my pc to play some games?
#19
"small niche"? PS2 is the world's best selling games console and continues to sell almost as well as the PS3 :-) . I can't believe that PS3 will ever match, let alone beat, its sales records :-) ...

hsh - thanks, reserved one at my local store. Thx.
#21
Unbelievable !!!
They actually still had stock for once - reserved.....
#22
Reserved. At this price it's not a big loss if they don't work too well.
#23

#25

You'd need to get a PS2 to USB adapter. I've got one and it works well. I've got a wired version of these pads and the biggest fault is the throw of the sticks. Once you've pushed them about half way from centre they'll register full so you can't get the same level of control you can with a genuine PS2 pad.

Got mine today, amazing value, thanks for the post.

Wow then this is really hot, still some stock around, will go for a pair then.
I was asking because i have Gran Turismo 4 and it has to be played with pressure sensitivity pads because it senses how hard you press the buttons to determine how hard to apply the brakes/ accelerator. (got a cheapy pad that just skids with brake [_] and wheels-spins with accelerator O at the moment)

Just a word of warning to anyone buying, these need 4 AAA batteries on EACH controller. I didnt know this (I was expecting 2 AA at most) so I will need to buy some now.
