PS3 320GB + Move Starter Pack

Blockbusters are doing a deal of the PS3 320GB (£259.99) and Move Starter Pack Free (£49.99)... it also says that you get £46 worth of vouchers and on the PS3 Console info it also says that you will recieve a free copy of gran turismo 5 too.

Delivery is £4.99

Total being £264.98 for PS3, Move Starter Pack, £46 worth of vouchers and POSSIBLY GT5

Best Deal I have found since i missed out on the Zavvi Outlet £206.99 PS3 which I was highly annoyed about due to my payment confirmation screen completely freezing!!!

Just ordered mine will be a bonus if GT5 turns up with it although I'm happy enough with the PS3 and Move

thanks to SelenaRache on mse for the spot

Also add other games and get £15 off each one from, Fifa 11, Sims 3, EA Sports MMA, MOH Limited Edition.

Damn I bought one from BB a week ago, £269.99 for 320GB + Move, when did this offer start?
#3
just checked the site now. No such deal. £259 for console with gt5. The free move is a link for another deal. still ok but dont know if there are better gt5 deals out there anyway.
#4
Back of the net! Thanks for posting this here.
#5
Ooops. didnt look carefully enough. The console is offered on its own with gt5 mentioned in the details (no in the title for some strange reason) for £259, but you can add the moe pack to it according to the large image above. Does this mean you still get the gt5 if you bundle them together. I'd save the pages just to be sure.
#6
I have screen printed this offer.

Fantastic deal! Just ordered one and printed off the details so I get my GT5. Great find. I'm going to have a PS3 in my stocking this Christmas, I must have been a VERY good girl! ;)

Me too and ordered. Hopefully they'll honour it, as you still get the discount if you add the console with with free GT5 for £259.99 to your basket and then add the Move starter pack for £49.99 to your basket separately.

Anyone know if you can just take this back to one of their stores if they don't honour it - I doubt it as I'd imagine that the individual stores are franchises?

A pretty good deal when you take into account the move starter pack, though there's the extra expense of the navi controller and other move accessories. The PSeye would have been great for GT5 if it worked in more than just 1P Arcade mode too.
Including the £46 vouchers, which I assume you can use on anything rather than a book of vouchers, you could get additional move peripherals or the handful of proper games that currently support it.

Good deal, unfortunately I bought the PS3 320gb for 224 yesterday :(

Just read on a previous Blockbuster deal that the £46 vouchers come in a booklet/coupon format: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/blockbuster-back-to-the-future-tril/781758/#post9654689
It goes from a almost certain purchase from me to just another deal.

Is it worth buying a ps3 now or waiting for a price drop next year?
#15
I think I'll go for the Zavvi deal

Probably not worth waiting, I paid a similar price for my PS3 3 years ago.

Plus VAT is going up on 4th Jan 2011

tempting but i jus bought the one off amazon
#18
which i had got this instead of the sainsburys deals..
#19
Hot deal. Hope they dispatch it as I will fight to get the GT5 if it is not delivered just because their terms and conditions are so biased towards them!

ice.
#20
just been on the blockbuster site and there's no mention of GT5 being in the offer?
If it was i'd buy it now!!!
banned#21
PS3 listing clearly states GT5 is included, and their T&C says if they accept order 'by confirming products are dispatched' then 'We promise that all products purchased through the Site will correspond with their relevant description on the Site'

Easy small claims win if they dont cough up. Take screen shots....
#22
Could someone tell me where/how to get the GT5 with it i can't see it anywhere? just looks like the console on it's own with the Move deal attached?

Thanks

Read the text description of the PS3.

I don't think they will honour this. It has a feel about a website c**k-up to it. I think they meant to have PS3 + GT5 free OR PS3 + free Move Starter pack. The website definately isn't set up right though, as its not possibly to order a PS3 without it saying its got a free GT5 with it.
I've taken a chance and ordered though!!!!

So for people who want to take a chance heres the info to make your decision.

The summary of your order will say "PS3 320gb + free Move starter pack special offer". No mention of GT

However, when you click on the PS3 , which is a separate line item on the order, it definately says GT5 is included free. That is not mentioned in the order summary though. So I fully expect to have to argue my case with customer services.

I think its free returns.

Either way , as long as you want a Move starter pack , its as good as the Zavvi deal mentioned earlier in this thread. Working out at £225 for the PS3 320gb which isn't bad

Hi it's my 1st post, I was hunting for PS3 and move starter pack for long time.

I've checked above offer at blockbusters local store today.
They had the same deal for £259.99 but there was nothing saying about GT5 game.

It's a new offer so seller was a little bit confused.
I've had the online offer printed and asked if the GT5 is included... few min later seller brought me a PS3 box (the one with the GT5 game) and Move starter pack.

But... when he started scanning barcodes he noticed that offer was saying GT5 or Move starter pack.

I've asked about the £46 vouchers - Can I spend that for GT5 game ?
Answer was no - vouchers are for some extra money off for for some product only.

I've bought the PS3 + move online anyway. Probably they will not include GT5 game.

go to the link and Look under "at a glance". Again, the problem is that it is'nt mentioned in the title which is strange a sit is a major selling point. Screen print. If you dont get gt5, there'll be a lot of people joining together to moan at blockbuster so worth a punt. Vouchers are prob crap, maybe for overly specific products (think like the current asda ones doing the rounds), so don't use that to sway any decision.

hmmm hot if they honour it!
#28
Hot. My 60gig has just got the dreaded YLOD death so I've ordered and think they have to honour this. My order is being processed now and although GT5 isn't listed in the summary if I click on the items listed in my order it takes me to a screen saying: "Customers buying this product will receive vouchers worth a total of £46 and a free copy of Gran Turismo 5".
#29
The web page has now mysteriously been amended to say "Move or GT5"
#30
I guess these all come with firmware 3.50 now, yea?

The web page has now mysteriously been amended to say "Move or GT5"

The link on my order details for the PS3 has been changed to read "Move or GT5" too.

Just spoken to customer services (number is 0845 60 60 383 and 01895 258866) and the bundles are going to be sent out with the Move pack only and no copy of GT5.

Apparently the orders placed yesterday are about to be dispatched, so probably worth a call now to cancel yours now rather than wait to see what will turn up and have to return it.

This deal now needs to be expired in any case, as there is absolutely no chance that any new buyers will get the deal as originally posted due to Blockbuster's change to the terms.
#34
So it looks like no free copy of GT5 then. That stinks - clearly looked part of the offer when my order was placed yesterday. Very misleading and just wondering what advice people have on this? Is there any way to get Blockbuster to honour the deal that they advertised?...thanks...
#35
Clearly it's Blockbusters mistake as they corected it today.
They should call / email all of the customers that bought the product before the description was corrected and ask them if they still want to get the console.

If not I think they should include GT5 game in the order. That's my private opinion.
#36
If you read the terms and conditions for online sales, if Blockbuster don't inform you of the change before sending out the items, then you might be entitled to receive a copy of GT5.

Too late for me as I've contacted them, but might be of use to others.

http://www.blockbuster.co.uk/BBSiteContent/Xml/Help/DVDSalesTerms.xml#prices

"Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on the Site are correct. In the unlikely event that an error is made in the price shown on the Site, We will not be obliged to supply the product to you at the stated price. In those circumstances, We will not dispatch the item but will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether to proceed with your order at that price...

At the moment that the products are dispatched (and not before), a contract will be made between you an Us for the sale by Us, and purchase by you, of the ordered product(s). At any point up until then, We may decline to supply the product(s) to you.
"

Notice it says "ordered product(s)", it's arguable whether the free copy of GT5 was ordered or not.

Its not arguable at all. At time of order it clearly stated GT 5 was included. And as you state, once they ship - a contract exists.

The obligate themselves to provide it in the following T&C text:

'We promise that all products purchased through the Site will correspond with their relevant description on the Site'

If they ship then they are obligated to provide the goods as described. If they dont then simply file your claim for the difference (£39.99) via http://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and wait for the cheque to arrive...

What's the definition of "relevant description" though?
banned#39
The description of the item at the time of purchase.
#40
richto
The description of the item at the time of purchase.

That's your definition of "relevant description", unfortunately what counts here is Blockbuster's definition.

Has anyone received their order or an amendment email yet?
