PS3 80GB Infamous Pack with GTA IV or Fifa09 or Terminator Salvation 279.99 @ Gameplay.co.uk

See Post 1 for links

NEW 80GB Model! Now comes with the Sony Dualshock 3 Controller.

PS3 is the most advanced computer system that serves as a platform to enjoy next generation computer entertainment contents in the home, realized through the combination of Cell and RSX processors.

Having Giga-bit Ethernet and a pre-installed hard disk drive (HDD) as standard in PS3, users will be able to download a variety of contents as well as access on-line games and services over the network.

Equipped with basic input/output ports, PS3 supports a broad range of displays from conventional NTSC/PAL standard TVs to the latest full HD (1080i/1080p) flat panel displays, offering the joy of the most advanced computer entertainment contents to homes around the world. For use in living rooms, maximum heat and noise reduction has been achieved with a noise level equivalent to that of the current slim-line PlayStation 2.

With the overwhelming computational power of the Cell processor, PS3 is capable of playing back content from Blu-ray (BD) disc at a bit rate of multiplex 48Mbps with ease, the maximum bit rate defined in BD standards.

The new controller for PS3 has been created by refining and improving the world's most popular PlayStation controller which has shipped more than several hundred million units worldwide. The controller for PS3 employs a high-precision, highly sensitive six-axis sensing system that is capable of processing all parameters within the controller itself, thereby eliminating the need for any additional settings on the display system. By applying this technology, it will become possible to freely control the PS3 system over the network.

PLEASE NOTE - This PlayStation 3 model does NOT feature backwards compatibility with PS2 games, or the memory stick card readers found on the old 60GB Model.

not bad. i'd definitely go for GTAIV though. Great game. FIFA09, although very good, is obviously about to be replaced and i've heard Terminator Salvation is just dire.

Damn I just bought it on the ps3. Though I doubt I will be using it online.

I think this is a pretty good package deal. The price is pretty decent and the game choices are also very good. It really is a shame this is not a Xbox 360 or I would buy it straight away.

How'd you mean, interactivity ?

Admittedly, I only play online with actual friends on my friends list, but it's as interactive as it needs to be. i.e. you set up a game, invite friend, play game and speak to them.

How much more interactive do you need it to be ? and what are you getting extra with xbox live then ?

Not sure how this compares to other ps3 console bundles out there as I aint looked since I got mine through HMV at Xmas which was a great deal (blu-ray film, blu-ray controller and 2 games for 295).

GTA and fifa have been out ages not sure about terminator. Hopefully better deals around.

I would wait for the PS3 slim to be launched as the prices of PS3 could come tumbling down..

i would say wait two weeks because 18th august is price cut rumoured day for ps3.

this is pure speculation but if you look at sony's companies account filing, you will see that sony are expecting a big jump in ps3 sales in H2 which is out of proportion to last year. furthermore a new 45nm sku is definitely in production - although there is no proof that it is the slim.

why 18 august?? this is the day when sony are making a huge three hour press conference at gamescon.

okay i might be wrong but two weeks waiting is not going to hurt is it??
