Saw this deal in Asda Greenhithe this morning (Sat 21st) - they also had a bundle with littlebigplanet instead of killzone for £160.

This been posted before in other asdas so looks good to me also this is the phat version so it is likely they are clearing out old stock.

new 320gb version and including motion thing coming out 14th(ish) sept, s likely they are clearing out as already said
#4
Very good deal if you can find Asdas with these old phat ones in stock, got to be few and far between with ones located at the back of the storeroom and only just put out I would believe.

I doubt they are clearing these out because of the new 320GB version, the old phat should have been cleared out a long time ago since the slim was released, the 320GB and 160GB are soon coming in to replace the existing slim 120GB and 250GB versions.

Great deal but store specific methinks.

good luck locating another store with this offer on.
#8
Might be worth picking one up for using the new hack on at that price n keep my slim for online.
#9
I'm almost tempted just cos £150 is nothing for a PS3 :p

But chance of locating one is gonna be slim.
#10
this was posted too many times very good deal 1:100 chance of getting it...:)

A statement was been put out about the 3D Blu ray firmware update for Sept

does this now mean that the PS3 will be the cheapest 3D Blu ray player on the market?

defo tempted
#12
not bad....especially with the news that ps3 is hacked and allows playing backup games
#13
You can 2.0 Bluray players for around £100 now anyway.

Darn. Just been to one of the Coventry Asda's (who called the other, main one in Walsgrave) - not sign of this deal at either of these stores. Gutted as I just sold my Xbox 360 this afternoon (to fund a PS3) and couldn't believe my luck when this deal popped up on HUKD :(

Sorry i didnt have my phone to take a picture with me - i called the store a few minutes ago and they confirmed the deal.

Here is the store number - http://storelocator.asda.com/store/greenhithe (tel: 01322 374100)
They didnt have any stock left but the lady said the deal should be available at other store.
hes telling the truth, i was in the greenhithe store this evening looking for the 250gb + control + uncharted for £235 but didnt find that, but like the OP saw this one.
in addition to the 2 games mentioned there was also an offer to get terminator salvation instead.
on the sign it said in small print, "offer starts 5th august" so id imagine its available in all asdas.

i was also told they had no stock but the bloke said they should be getting some in a few days.
we'll see.

Brilliant deal if you can find one!..... I'd buy one just to have a second backup unit!

Most Asdas cleared out their fat PS3s yonks ago. Maybe they have a national central stock they're trying to clear if they're still actually being delivered to stores?

I was lucky enough to get a fat model in April 2010 for £170 because they accidentally left out an offer notice on the shelf - they happened to have one damaged box left in the store room which I snapped up. They certainly weren't getting new deliveries of fat machines then, the slim was well established then.

Erm....thanks for pointing out the obvious - I meant keep my slim one none hacked as there is a very good chance using a hack will get you banned as happened with the 360's. Either that or you will possibly need to keep the firmware at a certain point on the ps3 which means you won't be using it online either if thats the case - either way = one ps3 online and one offline....

no smart **** it isnt.
there were 3 signs in the greenhithe store, one for each game deal. each of which were not in there 2 days before as i was in there then looking at the ps3 deals and all they had was the normal 250/120 slim deals. now those are gone replaced by the 3 80gb fat ones

killerbee
so this is a slim 80gb ?

no, its a fat 80gb
#24
Just to add now I've tried all stores in Coventry, and also tried Asda in Leamington Spa and Rugby.. no dice :(
#25
If you can find one, you could trade the pad and game in for £24 at CEX and a brand new Ps3 will cost you £126. Not bad!
