We had the 80gb for the last 2 weeks with uncharted 2 aswell for the same price. But without Killzone 2.
All my deals get slated on here so i rarely post them.

Not bad for a brand new console

why the sudden obsession with the 80gb version? especially on a day that the PSN has proven how inferior they are to the slim

Agreed, there must be lots of surplus stock around

2 left in 1 store.....err...good luck

its just a shame you cannot play any of the games at the moment

I was in Gamestation earlier cause I was after a PS3 Slim, and I know it's pre-owned but 120gb is £229, but for an extra £5 you get inFamous, so for £235, you get a 120gb PS3 Slim & inFamous, not a bad deal imo, and you get a year guarantee with it, I'd have gone for a new 250gb but can't really afford the deal I'd like which is £300.

Stay away from the PS3's at the moment (well the old "fat" style ones at least) until Sony can figure out what's making them all drop dead.

..and yes, I own one. :?

I got this deal yesterday after trading in 120GB Slim @ Game

Not been able to use it today because of the issue with 29 th of February :whistling: :x

They're hardly dropping dead, it's just a glitch on PSN. I had a prob with my phat a few weeks ago with trophies not synching for several days but it cleared up by itself. You can probably still play offline in the meantime.

This latest problem has got nothing to do with the PSN. PSN is fine. :whistling:

and no, apparently a lot of games will not play offline either - haven't tried it myself for games today, but can confirm that movies still play fine when streamed to my PS3 from the PC.

Sony are already working on a patch, its just a glitch

And for £15 more you can get a brand new 250gb slim (used to only be £240 at one point, now £245)

I cant remember the last time i bought a console or game in the high street, the place is a rip off. Online shopping ftw.

The Sony blog says it's an internal clock error. Sounds to me like they programmed 2010 to be a leap year, then as soon as March 1st hit there were "Y2K-like" problems.

yea thats ok provided you have the cash and dont have anything to trade in, where in wanderer89's case he was trading in his 360!

RIP PS3

I wouldn't bother buying any PS3 unless it's the slim until the problem is sorted.
Slimlines are working fine but any of the older models are having the data wiped upon synching with the psn servers.
If you do buy an 80gb you may not be able to play newish games without updating and if you save games then the data will most likely become corrupt.

I only hope you're right because the silence from Sony has been deafening today. I don't think they actually have an idea of how to fix it. 46 minutes to go.

Lol, its annoying as left my girlfriends house this morning after downloading SF2THDR (or whatever) on the slim there, only to read the stories and realise I cant even turn the 60gb I have here on to watch a blu ray(wanted to watch one of the many sealed ones I have waiting tonight), let alone play any games!

You can, turn off router/modem, turn on PS3, disable internet connection (wired/wifi), put disc in of your choice and it will work (unless of course it needs a software update to play).

It doesn't matter if it's connected to the net or not. If your PS3' s affected, it's affected.

Not sure about the 60gb's. They might be OK. I think I remember reading that on a forum earlier today but it's been a long day so don't just take my word for it.

It all depends if youve ever set the internal clock, If you have then your probably right, certain ps3's will be affected but if like me and you never got round to changing the time on your 60gb then your laughing because the console won't know it's armageddon

Thats strange, considering I'm playing Uncharted 2 on my 40GB PS3 right now.

And I only got the game today, and was able to patch it to the latest version with no problems!

Lucky you. The rest of us have only got 5 minutes to go before Sony's Operation Lets Hope It Sorts Itself Out Or We're Screwed kicks in.
#25
Its fine, It was just a leap year internal clock bug.

Your ps3's will be fine in 3 minutes....

I've heard certain models with specific product codes are exempt from the problem, must be the early models of each range witht the problems because i've heard faults with 40gb, 60gb, and 80gb today.
Exp-work in a shop with people trying to refund them all day ;)

How funny would it if the only people who lost data were the ones who signed in today?!
Got a mate fuming after modern warefare data deleted lol, I'm on a level playing field now...

PES 2010 on the go now.

So basically, Sony had no real fix. They just had to wait. At least if anyone's still using their PS3 in 2014 when it happens again they'll know why.

most of these have sold out now anyway, only in due to slim shortage at moment.

Oh noes. Sony might have to.......declare it a maintenance day or whatever in four years. honestly this whole deely has been blown epically out of proportion. So Psn was down a day and you might have to resync to regain a couple of trophies. Whoopee do

...or for £217 you can get a PS3 120GB slim from Asda when you buy any top 30 game - so comes out at about £237 to £245 inc. any top 30 game!
