sigma
It's here >http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/35440/5-off-at-choicesuk-com

Listing expiry date as 23/7/07 & these codes can normally only be used once per person, so if you've already used code at your name/address/credit card it probably won't accept it again. 5% off.

Quidco rate for Choices is also 5%

cheers for that sigma so that should take overall cost down to approx £360 after quidco now surely that easily makes it the best value ps3 bundle available

If it makes you feel any better, do you think the additional several months you've had your PS3 is worth the extra, what, £100, compared to those buying now? I certainly think mine has been worth it, although my Wii has seen many more hours.

That is my one consolation. I'm sure I've had my £100 worth of fun in the last few months.

Who knows, now prices are becoming slightly more realistic, other people might too!

After the backlash over the lack of a proper UK price cut, retailers are coming to Sony's aid and doing all their work for them. But all these current bundles aren't the new starter packs, are they? So does that mean when they've got rid of all their old stock, prices will rise again?

With Microsoft releasing the 360 Elite for £325 without the HD-DVD drive, it looks like Sony can't lose a console war even when they do their best to turn everyone against them. Assuming we accept Nintendo are fighting on another plain this time, of course

I heartily agree but that's the price of being an early adopter - with any eletrical equiptment. Still, at least my PS3 hasn't crashed, frozen or anything like that unlike my 360.:giggle:

Sounds all a bit like self consolation if you ask me. Frankly there haven't been the games in that time to warrant £100 worth of fun. You've been waiting like the rest of us for the PS3 to actually take off and have some decent fun with.

You would have been better off waiting and saved money at the same time.

That's probably because you haven't actually been using it that much. If you don't switch it on and have games to play on your unlikely going to get those problems.

That's your opinion. I haven't regretted getting my PS3 one bit.. online play is free, wireless adapter is built in so connecting it to my wireless network was pain and cost free. I've bought some Blu Ray movies which look and sound fantastic, Pirates of The Caribbean2 has amazing picture quality. I've been enjoying Resistance, Motorstorm, Stardust HD, Oblivion, Virtua Fighter5 as well as playing some PS2 games like God of War2. Since getting my PS3 the 360 has rarely been switched on. My first 360 has the red ring of death and out of 5 other people i know who own one, 3 of them have also had their 360 pack up. With the fantastic showing Sony had at E3 and even more so at their Premier event the future is looking very bright for PS3 owners.

I'm sorry, that one kinda went over my head there.

In any case I'll be telling a few mates who are thinking of buying one about this, not as cheap as a 360 but great value nonetheless! Voted hot.

Nothing you've said there warrants the > £100 premium you paid for it.

As I say self - consolation. If it didn't mean that much to you, you wouldn't be so interested in being here on this forum looking at threads of bargains on the PS3 would you :whistling:

Yeh right, my opinion

just because you fanboys get touchy doesn't mean the PS3 isn't a door stopper.

if i had paid out stupid amounts of money for a console with no games i'd try and justify it too.

Nope, wrong again. I exploited the Empire Stores 40% off deal and got it for a bargain price. Where's the £100 premium exactly? I wanted a HD Player and wireless was essential so i paid considerably less than the cost of a 360 + HDDVD add on + Wireless kit + LIVE subscription. No console'ation required whatsoever.

Anything else to add?

There hasn't been an explosion of fanboyism like this since the days of the SNES and Mega Drive. I can see someone having a punch up over the PS3 and 360 soon. If it hasn't already happened...

Everything you post here is clearly trying to justify your purchase to yourself. You're even now trying to bring in the 360 comparison, here we go... :whistling:

If you've got one already why are you now actually so interested in stating what YOU claim you paid for it to us ?

And if you don't know where the £100 premium is, you are obviously pretending to be oblivious to the Sony deals on offer everywhere now. Furthermore you're delusion goes beyond that in you believe that EVERYONE got the deal that you claim (?) you got from Empire and are basing your posts on that.

If you got anything to add mate, make it worthwhile :whistling:
