I got this from Amazon awhile back for around about the same price. It comes down every so often it seems.

Before wasting any time or money on this title, check out the 'Zero Punctuation' review by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw (at The Escapist ):

You gotta love Yahtzee! lol

It's a good price, but I thought the game was awful tbh. Dead Space or Bioshock are better buys...

This is one of my favorite FSP, and i've played many.

Just watch this and judge for yourself:

Not even if it was free. Well, maybe free. But not £7. I have been playing video games since 1978 and this is in my worst 100.

I agree (although I started playing video games 2 years before you!).

I had the Collector's Edition (Steelbook) title on pre-order for months, and as soon as I played the demo available from the PlayStation Store I cancelled it. Tried it a few days later to make sure I'd made the right decision, but another run-through didn't change my mind & I deleted the demo from my hard drive straight after playing.

Over-hyped even beyond "Haze", "Assassin's Creed", and/or "Kane & Lynch: Dead Men".

And as much as I disliked "Haze" due to the broken aiming, "Assassin's Creed" for the monotonous game-play, and "Kane & Lynch..." for the graphical 'abusement' & steep learning curve, I would rate "Clive Barker's Jericho" (by Clive Barker) well below these.

I'm also a First Person Shooter (FPS) fan. I have more of this genre than any other.

BFN,

fp.

(There's a reason it is 'only' £7!)

The chick with the mp7 and samurai sword gives the game 10/10 alone. lol.

I haven't tried Haze because I don't have a PS3, although Assasin's Creed for me was a winner, "Each to their own". Yeah Kane & Lynch was a bittersweet game, very much like freedom fighters (I love IO Interactive for their hitman games).

So what FPS games do you rate highly? Please don't say Left4Dead because I got bored of it after 2 weeks. Dark Messiah and ArmA are a samply of what I like myself.

I think this game was pretty good but got it for £12 about a year ago. It seems if you paid full price you cant see past its faults. Personally I would recomend it especially at this price.

I couldn't personally recommend a title on the Xbox 360 (as I presume you have from your list).

"Killzone 2" is excellent... but that doesn't help you at all does it? ;)

Anyway, if you try it for £ 7.49 you can still trade it in for a good price and you won't loose any money. So I say give it a try for this price! I've ordered one... Well as far as I know this site isn't really about that to discuss if this game is good, bad or excellent, but if the price of this game is good or bad...

You vote "hot" or "cold" on the price of a deal, but you are free to discuss the product too.

What is frowned upon is the voting against a deal based upon your opinion of the product (or how suitable it is for you, such as if you are an Xbox owner when it is a PS3 title, etc), rather than your opinion on the price of the product as listed in the thread.

Please let us know what you think of the title when you have had the opportunity to play it.

i had this on ps3, just got it for xbox 360 on steelbook for £8 at CEX - but i have to say i really liked the game - im not good at FPS usually but i was on this - ok its not as good as GOW but i liked the game.

at the end of the day we all love and hate different games. some of my fave games are probably others least faves, and some of the games i hated are no doubt the ''best ever game'' for others. so id say give it a go, if you dont like it then trade it in and its only a few quid lost.

I've just ordered the game, haven't got it yet, but will give it a try, then I will write here my opinion ;-)

I got this cheap a while back and actually quite enjoyed it - I guess it's each to their own.

A long time later...

That Zero Punctuation review is a bad review IMO. Eg he makes such a big deal that he needs a 'clairvoyant space brain' to get past one of the levels. Thats his failure to use his own brain to solve the level.

As each member of the squad has a primary and secondary weapon (some of which can be configured eg Cole's grenades have 4 'settings') as well as a primary and secondary power (some of which can lead to other powers eg Jones can astral project to an enemy and can then summon Blood Ward or Pyrokenesis) and you are able to jump from body to body that gives rise to a huge number of permutations one can employ to tackle each situation.
