In before all the "whats the point " comments. From the same people that probably buy all the tacky iphone attachments.

Good price, may get one but only have one controller ATM. May be a sign to get another.

Doubt it (Comes with a 0.8m USB cable) but just leave it plugged into whichever device you leave on the most (My PC would suffice for me and controllers take very little time to charge).

Thanks CSiman,

I have a usb Plug i.e. plug a usb into the mains do you think this will work with this?.cos if I plug the controller straight into this then plug it in they don't charge.

Don't forget you can buy similar stations/docks for £1.98 (just basic ones) in PC world.

It was expired as an online deal by the looks of it, but I've still seen them instore.

Are there any charging devices that don't need it plugged into either a PC or the PS3 itself to get the power?

I bought those ones and they are crap, you need two usb sockets as they are two separate docking stations.
Looks as if the one listed here only needs one usb socket as it is one piece.

Ah I see, but can't complain for 2 quid!

btw, this is only £5 if you are buying some games (e.g COD:MW2 for £32.99).

I add both items to the basket and it comes up at £42.98?

I bought a Pelican one for about £20 that is mains powered. Leave the controllers in the stand when not using and only plug it in when they need charging (saves there being a blue light on all the time)

Forgotten where I got it from now though

I have an energizer one which looks almost identical and it charges via the mains... It also has 2 usb slots on the docking station so i can charge my headset and hub plugs his xbox controller into it too - its fantastic.

Got it after my headset kept dying 'cause it needed to be plugged via USB to charge - but when the PS3 was on, i was using it lol!!

Got a Pelican last year also. Highly recommended.
Easy to dock and charge. Got my headset off one of its USB's also to charge that.

Defo recommend this instead.

i can recommend the energiser charger which is mains powered,
the pelican and energiser are both the same product they changed the name to energiser a while back

but this is a good price with good reviews and u can also use a mains usb socket so u can power the unit from the mains not ur ps3

Just to point out that I had 2 of these style chargers and both broke! When you are plugging in the pads the vertical pole that holds the pads seems to obstruct your view and can result in the connectors bending, not good.

Maybe i am just a bit heavy handed but the ones I bought were both expensive ones so i thought this would not have happened.
