I bought these a little while ago from play.com at £3.49 and they're a great addition to the control pad. The L2 and R2 shoulder buttons I found are slightly low and with them being the buttons you can gradually press fingers often slip off of them. These 'triggers' make then slightly higher and add a flick at the back so your fingers can slide off the back.

HMV DESCRIPTION
How many times have your fingers slipped off the L2 and R2 buttons, and always at that crucial moment in the game? RealTriggers put a stop to that happening ever again! Simply put, if you use your PS3 SIXAXIS controller, and youre serious about gaming, you need these in your life!

The box contains 1 pair of RealTriggers, and they couldnt be easier to install just clip on and go! Controller not included.

These are great I heard a lot of good things about them but wasn't sure. Glad I got them they make a real difference, worth it at full price but even better now (pity I already have a set for each of my 8 controllers!)

One small step closer to the 360 controller.
One giant reminder the ps3 controller sucks.

Was there any need to set the bait? :)

Good price. Think I'll grab some. HNR.

Worfthedog, what possible use do you have for 8 controllers? :?

Nice one lol.

These do make the ps3 controller better - the bottom 2 shoulder buttons are tapered on the original so I always found my fingers slipping off the rear of the buttons when PES'ing.

Takes a bit of getting used to - I tend to get my fingers trapped the odd time as they stick out quite a bit, or I catch them and send the controller flying from between my fingers.

So instead of a spaceship you chose a George Foreman Grill ?,

The "Exclusive" LBP !!! LOL wow that's real scary for other console owners and the Mario Kart, Gears and Fable etc franchises must be shaking in their boots...

Why don't Sony just buy the rights off MS to copy their pad it would make life so much simpler and cheaper for PS3 owners..

Yawn...

Why don't you go back to "Unreal Tournament 3.5", sorry, "Gears of War 2"?...

Thanks upper

Me and a bunch of guys in the office have ordered

Well because No One likes Unreal on either the 360 or the PS3 and there are already over 3 million more people online playing Gears 2 than that anyway.

Why don't you go back to Resistance 2 oh no wait that flopped could be a bit quite online, still theres always Lemmings I mean LBP sorry..

I have "Resistance 2", but I'm too busy playing "Killzone 2" to care.

"Viva Piñata", "Viva Piñata: Party Animals", & "Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise" are good titles for the Xbox 360, so I hear (from 3 year olds).

Seriously, I have a set of these triggers. They were on the front of the magazine "PSM" as a 'free' gift.

Useful to find [L2] & [R2] quickly, but if you hit the buttons too hard the triggers can 'ping' off & you then end up missing the button completely.

I wouldn't pay more than £1.99 for them, but this is the cheapest I have seen them at.

Heat added.

Got these free from HMV when i pre ordered GTA 4. Not bad but i didnt leave them on the controller.
There is nothing wrong imho with the PS£ controller. ITs stood the test of time on the whole from ps1-ps3 and i dont have a problem with the triggers.

hubby prefers the ps3 controller to the 360, i don't, so i'm gonna break the bank with this lmao... it's coz i have little girl fingers!

You could always check out the stock Amazon list (fo example) for alternate PS3 controllers; some of them are different sizes to the official SIXAXIS & DualShock 3 wireless controllers.

Is there a "RealDPad" available for the 360 'controller' ?
#15
Ordered. Cheers OP.

Bought these for one of my controllers previously and find them much better to play games with. Another set will do incase anything happens to the ones I have already.
Not putting them on my other controllers as want maximum advantage on games when playing mates.

Are you aware that some PS1 controllers had the "rumble" feature? What MS console did SONY steal that idea from?
Are you aware that MS are developing sixaxis style motion sensors into controllers?
Are you aware of videos of people actually cooking on a 360?
www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLabckoPC0g
Are you aware that neither Gears or War, or Fable franchises are exclusive and are available to any PS3 owner in possession of a PC, indeed Gears 3 if it is ever released could well see a PS3 release as the 2 game deal MS had with epic has now finished.
And finally are you aware you are doing the exact same thing you cry about others doing on 360 threads?

'Probably not' is the answer to all the above i guess. :whistling:

Hot deal, ordered a couple of sets as missed out last time they were this price.

i think he's 8 actually... resistance 2 is awesome! LBP is also very good! Do you find them hard to play? Oh yes, you're 8 I forgot!

Me neither... but it's an option as a backup to complete a longer than normal gaming-fest. The SIXAXIS wears my right hand out after a few hours gaming (add your own punchline, but it's a repetitive strain thing nothing to do with my short sightedness), & the DUALSHOCK 3 gets too heavy to hold after a while (well, once you're used to the SIXAXIS).

My triggers are attached to the imported "Stormtrooper" style (Black'n'White) DUALSHOCK 3 I bought last Christmas. This only sees the light of day on very special occasions. I'm quite happy with the standard PlayStation controller(s).

The Xbox (360) devices remind me too much of the Nintendo GameCube controllers where there are far too many buttons to work out which is which when a specific button is needed in a hurry in-game.

I have nothing against Microsoft consoles, for the record... I just cannot find more than one or two titles I would wish to play on the Xbox 360 so I cannot justify the cost.

(That said, I did buy a GameCube just to play "Donkey Konga". Hmmm... maybe I'll look into an Xbox 360 in the January sales...)

Heard a lot about these so thought I'd get a pair this time.

Hoping these might give a bit more of an edge on Killzone 2 and GT5.

Take everything you and replace "Sony" with "Nintendo" and "Microsoft" with "Sony".
You can't really say anyones copying anyone, i'd just say every company is innovating in their own ways.
As for people being baited by the fanboys? well i hope someday you'll be able to afford every system, until then, keep convincing yourself the console you own is the superior one to somehow justify your inflated purchase...

MS are planning on making a wii style remote, not putting sixaxis into controllers...
You could 'cook' (if thats what you want to call it) on almost any heatsink that isnt being cooled in anyway....
Gears of War 2 isnt and never will be available on the PC and fable 2 isnt available for the PC either at this moment in time...

Im glad you didnt throw the usual blu-ray/media player arguments in like others usually do though ;-)

I vote cold.....Sony should recognise the flaw in design and either change it or issue these free (just like the wii remote rubber jackets)

I don't see microsoft selling big gloves so that people with small hands can use their controllers.....because it's not an issue.

The PS3 is not with out it's problems http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3Hh3tBdHwM&NR=1

Xbox 360 and PS3 are great consoles in their own right, PS3 has more potential in the future but right now due to all the games and less glitches etc.. I prefer the Xbox 360.

lol, the way you have worded it reads (to me anyway) that the games are available on the PC. But nevermind.

The xbox is clearly a good console, if it wasnt sony wouldnt have lost a lot of their exclusives to it. For me the only thing that the PS3 has over the xbox now is LBP (bearing in mind im not a fan of the MGS series and have never played killzone so can't make a judgement) which does undeniably look awesome!

Why do all PS3 or 360 threads always end up in a 'Sharks V Jets' gang war?

I own a 360 and within a few weeks will be a PS3 owner (used a PS3 a fair few times at friends). I've also owned every computer and console right back to the BBC Micro and have used every conceivable variation of joypad and joystick.

Regardless of where you fall on the Sony Vs MS debate you must concede that PS3 really screwed up with the controller as far as lack of analogue triggers with enough movement for racing and shooting games and that bringing out several incarnations (sixasis, ect) has not made things better.

Why else would you need to buy these little jobbies to give it fake triggers.

The Playstation 1 was launched in December 1994, so the basic of the controller has been around for 14 years. If it was that bad then it wouldn't have survived this long.

BLUERAY?

XBOX - No
PS3 - Yes

INTERNET VIA CONSOLE?

XBOX - Yes - MONTHLY FEE
PS3 - Yes - FREE

These triggers are great for fighting games... Soul Calibur 4 etc but for racing games i prefer playing without them as i find i get a better power curve when accelerating. Cant wait for the exclusive GT5....

Owned.

Damn I hate the PS3 controller, I can't believe I have to pay extra to make it more usable. I mean seriously, who decided on making the triggers curve inwards? Fail.

The only good thing about the PS3 pad is the D-pad - it's the best there is for accuracy, particularly in fighting games. The rest all fails; analogue stick placement = fail. Triggers = fail. Not shipping originally with rumble = fail. Having the tiniest charge lead in the world = fail. In-built batteries = fail. Curved tops of the analogue sticks = fail.

Still, hot deal and will make the controller more comfortable to use now. Cheers!

actually IN MY HUMBLE OPINION the ps3 controller is better for fighting, driving, 2d platformers, and football games but the xbox controller is better for fps/tps. the xbox direction pad does not have enough precision. http://xbox.about.com/b/2008/07/11/editorial-the-xbox-360-d-pad-is-bad-so-why-arent-you-using-the-stick.htm and http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/11/07/360-dpad-hindering-fallout/ (please read the comments and not just the actual article)

the ps3 analogue button does have a lot of travel - the only issues for some people are that they are convex instead of concave (hence the triggers) and they have a graduated resistance. your comments about not enough movement in the triggers suggest to me that you haven't really used a ps3 controller properly.

and if you have small hands (little kids) the xbox controller can get really difficult to use if you need to use the trigger buttons.

so unless you only play fps, i think the ps3 controller is actually better for precision games. so all the xbox trolls who came into this ps3 post should really think a bit before they say one controller is better than the other i.e. it depends on the game you are playing to determine which controller is better.

furthermore, the ps3 controller is fully usb rechargeable which is definitely a bonus and the ps3 supports more than 4 wireless controllers.
