Of course.

Said it before - crazy to buy non dualshock right now even at about £17.50 each - pay the extra and get dualshock (Yesasia.com) or wait for the Ds3 ones.

Maybe people don't care that much about the rumble especially as they can get Two of these pads for the price of 1 rumble (tingle) version ....................
#11
when is the DS3 released in the UK?
#12
Missing rumble a lot with my boxed in Sixxaxis - so ordered a DS3 for myself. This deal is hot for those who want an extra couple of controllers and don't mind monging off their mates with no vibration functions tho.

I bought a pair of these and I am trying to get them to work on a PC but it's proving tricky.

I'm using some drivers I downlaoded and xpadder. Has anyone else had any luck? I'm getting there but slowly...
#14
I think the next one I buy will be a DS3 to be honest, but this is a good price.

Been using on PC no probs. You need to download the sixaxis driver, but there was a trick to get it to work on vista i think. Been a while since i did it so can't remember off hand. It might be that you need to right click, properties, run as Windows 2000/NT. I don't remember ever having to use xpadder tho'.

The other thing to remember is to make sure your ps3 is COMPLETELY off. Otherwise the controller will automatically pair itself to it when you push the PS button and you won't even know because you're in a different room!

Will look into it for you when i get home tonight.

I was going to buy a PS3 this week.

Will the new dualshock controller be shipped with the console when it comes out? So should I wait til it comes out then buy a PS3?
#18
V. hot deal! For the same price, I'd rather have two Sixaxis controllers than just one DS3

Yes but it is going to be a while, they have a backlog of these to get rid of first.

yeh they are, just charge them up as you need to.
The controller that come with the console has the charging wire bit,but thwnr you buy a seperate controller,I'm sure it didn't come with 1,it was a few mths ago I bought an additional 1 so can't be 100%.

Good price for two controllers if you are trying to get a set of 4 for your mates to play! However, I agree that the Dual Shock is worth paying the extra premium for if you can afford it.

Also, I notice that there is now a rumour that sony will be releasing a new controller soon that dis-assembles to make a wii style controller:

Hot deal, but after getting a DS3 I can't go back to using these, my DS3 battery ran out put that on charge and went back to the Sixaxis and it feels so light and without the real triggers on I just could't get to grip with it lol.

A must with any ps3 controller is to buy the triggers.
#23
Why would you want dualshock? i always disabled that type of thing its just pointless and hardly adds realism when you consider the fact your playing a game with a controller, always disabled it whenever i use stupid rumble stuff.
#24
Better deal at HMV with student discount and quidco.
#25
Thanks to OP. That's the controllers sorted - now where is the best place for the PS3 anyone?
#26
sorry cold from me. 1p more expensive at play and hmv but they offer quidco
