From Gioteck:

"Gioteck Reak Triggers for the PS3 sixaxis controller.

How many times have your fingers slipped off either the L2 or R2 and ALWAYS at a crucial moment in the game! Real Triggers put a stop to that happening ever again! Simply put, if you use a Sony PS3 Controller and your serious about your gaming you should use these."

From me:

These little guys rock and make a huge difference. I have them for all of my controllers.

This is as cheap as they have ever been, for 2 quid you can't go wrong. Get them cheap while you still can! :)

They do make a difference; more than I expected them to when I first got them (likewise I have them for all my controllers). Although, I do seem to break/crack them quite often - have broken two sets, and two other sets currently have small cracks in them, too. For £2 though, it's worth a punt.

I've got these on all my PS3 pads, and wouldn't be without them - one of the best things you could spend 2 quid on if you have a PS3, in my opinion...

Good price, heat added, however, the triggers included in THIS pack are better quality. I've been through a few Gioteck sets. The grips are excellent too, makes the pad feel substantial. £6.99, but you'll only need to buy them once ;)

as long as they don't fall off or break

I personally don't use the analog caps, never had a problem with the sticks. The controller grips really are great, much thicker than the picture shows and add weight. The triggers are really solid in comparison to the Gioteck ones. I'd have paid the £6.99 just for the triggers, they show no signs of breaking :) The Giotecks never lasted more than a month for me.

This guy speaks the truth! I bought the EA comfort pack last month and great scott is it amazing! It makes the controller so much more comfortable! I cant play without it now, i was at my mates and picked up his controller and oh god it was horrible! Feels so small and cheap.

Thanks EA for making the best PS3 accessory. :D

If you contact Gioteck, they will send you another pair, possibly two pairs in return(one old style, and one new style).

If you have the receipt, they require a scan of it, if not you will be required to post them back.

one good feature on a controller full of bad features doesnt make it better than one bad feature on a great controller, the xbox controller is awful.

I wouldn't be without these, hard to believe millions spent in R&D on a controller can be remedied by a couple of quids worth of plastic but they're a Godsend.
#15
Shame you can't remap the triggers on BFBC2 :(
#16
I was given the Gioteck triggers for Crimbo, managed to crack them almost instantly.
They were great whilst they lasted though.

Thanks OP and thanks to "thesaint" for the tip about Gioteck customer service.

I think you were just unlucky mate. I've got 4 sets, and two of those I've had for 2 years for some heavy gaming use and I've had no problems at all.

Dual Shocks only 15 years out of date(_;) surprised considering how brazenly they pinch most ideas they'ev stuck by their controller especially designed for captain hook for so long.

It's a bit early to be drinking, isn't it?

I recently acquired a PS3 and as a long time Xbox user have been struggling with the PS3 pad. Gone for these, hopefully they make the rear triggers a bit more finger friendly.

Gioteck Real Triggers lifetime = 1 month (if you are lucky)
Last less than one month for me.
#24
the xbox controllers are too heavy and fat,the ps3 controllers just right.

You'd be better served going with the EA Comfort pack, as suggested above by Bo0td.

As a long term 360 owner and recent PS3 owner same as yourself, I tried the Gioteck, they are good but the EA Comfort pack is ten times better!!

Snes N64, and GC pad are the best controllers in that order, the Xbox and PC have been scupperred by awful D-pads. The playstation pads in their various guises have awful placement of th shoulder triggers (hence my captain hook comment) and the analogues sticks are pretty ropey too,
#27
Cheers...

i have never had any issues with my dualshock controllers, i can honestly say i havent really had that much issue to require the real triggers but i do appreciate that some might need them. I think the DS controller is really well designed to be honest and i find it great to use
#29
I got ordered some of these yesterday when I was buying a 2nd Dualshock pad. I thought for £2 what the heck worth a try.
#30
will order a pair as my last have broke ,i must admit the dualshock 3 pads are rubbish im on my 3rd the shoulder buttons and analogue sticks are prone to breaking, therir not apatch on the old ps2 pads

^^ Agreed - they are a good improvement over the standard controller, but they are prone to cracking. I've treated mine with care, but both are showing signs of splitting down the middle.
#32
They're supposed to have improved the design, I believe you can tell the new one by the rubbery squares on them that aren't on the original but don't quote me on that. I gained a PS3 at Christmas after many years with 360s and found these a great help because I'm so used to having L2 R2 as the main controls rather L1 R1 which most PS3 games default to. No problems with mine splitting in a month of heavy use in Black Ops by myself and my 10 year old.

Looked at the comfort pack but it was a tenner at the time and I got the triggers 'free' from Currys, might go for the comfort pack now for the bigger grips but totally sold on the triggers either way.
#33
Mine tend to slip off during moments of pressure on PES.
Will try using blu tack to keep them on.
Other than that - don't leave home without them.

Who are you trying to kid? me or yourself.....lol. I've used both and the xbox controller is far superior, and after you have been using it a while the ps3 controller feels like a cheap plastic toy.
