  Oh the shame, shopping in Poundland and actually taking photographs of the scrap on their shelves. Sorry, but Poundland deals are not what I call a hot deal.

  Since this is an analogue cable it would suffer greatly from being a bad quality cable, which being £1 and coming from pound land it sure will be. I suppose it will be useful for some people just so that it works but if you have an HDMI socket in your TV don't even think about it.
  
  Also be warned that because of AACS and ICT that Bluray movies running through the PS3 and this cable (because it's analogue) can be down-conversion to 960x540 if the content provider chooses. "Warner Pictures is a proponent of ICT, and it is expected that Paramount and Universal will implement down-conversion as well." (wiki)
  
  Thus I would not recommend touching this cable with a barge poll unless you can help it.
