it gets voted cold by people who are not used to having to do something for themselves.

you would have to go into a shop, speak with a human and wait a couple minutes before walking out with your game.

far more effort than some seem able to muster so instead they vote it cold as it requires just a click of the button.

a great game at a stupid price now, h n r

lol, spot on:thumbsup:, you managed to word exactly what i was thinking:-D i remember posting here a few weeks ago tha they will be giving it away soon, and its getting closer!!
#11
They try not to and they have stated in many instances that it is 1 copy only.Because they give me BS when i try to do it' i keep at them until they hand it over. Curry's seem to be easier to do it with just in case. The OP is right get in there and empty the shelf's. Good post, game for under £6, cor blimey

Have my ninppence of hot.
#13
Ridiculous, voting cold, cheapest price ever for the game, maybe the sensible brigade will be around soon, possibly one of the best deals of the week, just get up out of your armchair and save a bit of cash!!!

already have, as you said no point having them on this site. H+R.

btw might want to edit your quoted post so it makes it easier for mods if they want to get rid of all the swearing

Yet its still getting colder:roll:

I don't know if they are obliged to honour it as LBP isn't being sold by ASDA, its being sold by thehut.com through an ASDA branding. And as this is online only, it is not within 30 miles of the PC World store.
I would guess the reason people are voting cold is also because everyone knows about the price match policy, and some people get fed up of it being posted as a deal (I personally don't care).
#20
I will see if this works tomorrow, nice thinking though
#21
Voted hot.

But I'll confess I'm too lazy to go do it, as PC World in Romford have never been very helpful with this.
However listen I am voting hot!

lol, i know its a bit of a pain but this is the site to post good deals & getting "little big planet"for less than £6 must be hot???
#23
Give it a bit of heat HUKDers, best price ever
#24
So Asda are selling LBP for £8.91 instore ? or are PC World normally OK with matching an online price ?. Have never attempted a price match before but at this price I may.

Also misspelled "little BIG planet " in title.
#25
Nice.
#26
Great if it can be done. HEAT + REP. Shame its only LBP that is so cheap atm. And it isn't a very good game.
#27
getting cheaper and cheaper only a matter of weeks till this is free.....

Thats what I am thinking, the wording of the PC World T&C's makes me think the home delivery remark is for home delivery ordered instore. I.E buying something big instore from Argos but paying for home delivery, not online.

Hopefully someone will be able to confirm either way with a instore encounter at PC world on this potential super offer.

gave +27 heat. Price match works - I got £50 knocked of a hard drive when I price matched amazon. The manager looked really ****** off - but I had it printed off as proof and they did it reluctantly.

great game for the kids

voted cold

never get any 'pcworld price match deals' they always refuse me and ive tried over 5 times in the last 2 years. Not worth the hassle
#32
It's worth noting that the Asda price is online only, and not instore (instore is still about £20, but store dependent)
#33
The linked price match policy definitely doesn't sound like it's for online prices, so I doubt very much asda-entertainment.co.uk counts the same as an Asda store within 30 miles of your PC World! You could try to blag it if you're going that way anyway I guess, or save yourself the time/petrol/BFH and order from asda-entertainment.co.uk in the first place for £3 more.

I do remember some in store sign someone found in the past saying they'd price match against something like the top 10 hitwise web sites, which included amazon... but I wouldn't bother to try and argue about online prices with them unless I had something like that in writing.

Ha ha, hope they at least bothered to check amazon themselves. It is REALLY easy to forge an amazon printout with any price, such as £0.01, and then the *d off manager would have to just give you every single unit item in the shop for free.
#34
For £5.80 its worth another shot. When I first had the game I didn't think much to it at all.
#35
great deal. heat added.!!
#36
I heard of someone getting this for £5.00 because the guy in PC World "Couldn't be bothered" to do the exact sum!

Fair play to him.
#38
Ive tried multiple times to get PC world to do perfectly legitimate price beats. ALWAYS a major hassle having to deal with about 10 different people then finally get a "match" as opposed to a beat, then i always explain to the manager that 10% of the difference should be taken off.

Then after a basic lesson in maths to the current person serving me i end up walking out with a refusal to do it for that price and about an hour and 30 mins of wasted time( cant believe people cant do percentages )

Don't waste your time with this, if you want it just buy it from asda from the good price of £9 anyway.

Overall not voting cos its "potentially" a good deal just your gonna have to go through alot of hoops for just a fiver off, for a pretty rubbish game.
#39
ive twice price matched without any problems. 1st time at pc world for burnout paradise on ps3, price-matched it with amazon, got it for £15.97 although i had to do the math for coz the dude couldnt work out the difference! 2nd time round getting currys to pricematch comet for metal gear solid, got that for £7.09! Manager was astonished and said i got bargain of the week lol...

When price matching ALWAYS ask them for the product, LBP in this case first before asking for a price match, or else they'll come up with a load of garbage about it not being stock etc. Taking the printout of the pricematch promise always helps. Im gona try this myself at my local pcworld/currys....

you still have to have to pay delivery on top of the pricematch price...
