Ok this includes the following

PS3 Compatible wireless controller (individually selling on argos @ £24.99)
Fat PS3 stand
HDMI cable
DVD Remote

I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw my local stores had 5 EACH in stock, reserved mines for collection today, suggest you guys get in there fast.

Controller makes an ideal backup for emergencys and has all the autofire buttons too, really funny when your playing fps games.

Sorry mate, but it looks absolutely garbage - really cheap. I mean, what in the hell is that DVD remote all about? Looks like a crappy toy :-\

I got this pack free when I bought my PS3. The remote and the stand are now in a cupboard - the controller is OK, but not worth £24.99, not even £19.99. The HDMI cable works, but causes the PS3 mics to buzz when used, so I gave it to the kid next door to use with his XBox - he's chuffed!

Not worth £19.99 - mine was free at the time so bit of a bargain!

How many of the wireless thingys did you get?

sorry op but i would expire this before it gets any colder awful looking product

Can someone tell me why this is so cold? I know it's not Sony, but at £20, it seems to be worth a punt and at least if you don't like it you can take it back to Argos for a refund.

1 Wireless controller with dongle and 1 wireless remote with dongle. Is this what you meant?

Because it's not even a proper Bluetooth controller. It's a IR one that needs a USB dongle in the PS3. As is the DVD remote.

About the only useful thing in the pack is the HDMI cable and that's worth about £4

:)

Also, I'd say at zero cost it was overpriced ;)

Yeah cheers.

Bought this today, even though you guys put me off.

The stand stops the toddler from breaking the PS3 as its more stable, the controller works perfect, although the ir doesnt go through walls or furniture, just works on line of sight, I had a great two player game of Mushroom Wars with the 6 year old (in my avatar)
The remote control is pretty basic and I cant see how im gonna use it if the controller does the trick, lol.
Oh and I needed a new HD lead anyways so :-P

All in all I saved a fiver and got a shedload of interesting useless peripiralalia. :p

Are you playing with a "Phat" PS3 or a Slim model?

I presume a "Phat" model looking at the guides on the stand in the photo above.

Be careful covering the air vent holes if you are standing a "Phat" PS3 vertically. A build-up of heat inside the casing is not recommended for a fully-functioning console over a long period of game-play.

Its been standing for 3 years. I blow out the vents 3 times a year with a compressor, gets all the dust out.

and it is a phat, yeah.

Thanks... I've been collating some statistics (mostly mentally) of people who have reported their Blu-ray drives stopped working & I found a majority had their units sited vertically.

Also, it seems that consoles that have played "FIFA 09" &/or "Grand Theft Auto IV" have a higher risk of failure.

Obviously this isn't a scientific survey & the figures are skewed by the fact that the sample of owners all subscribe to internet forums; maybe not indicative of an 'average' owner, but thanks for the feedback in any respect.

BFN,

fp.
