This game has really held its price - i wonder if COD WAW will do the same.
#10
I just got my copy from Play.com using the 5% off and Quidco. I am selling COD : WAW just cant get into it the same way as 4 and cant believe I got rid of 4 in the first place.

I am an experienced gamer and i'd like to say that cod4 is one of the most balanced, exciting and rewarding multiplayers ever. I am still playing it on live to this day and i bought it when it first came out. If in any doubt, dont be - just get it. Single player is excellent also.

I think someone posted in another thread that COD4 was available instore in Tesco [XBox360 version anyway] in a '2 for £30' deal - it was yellow stickered IIRC.

Of course finding stock could be a problem....
#13
sold my cod4 few months back waiting on it to drop below £20 to buy it again lol, best game in the world deffo, cod:waw is good but not as good imo.

Think i need a new xbox first as my drive is being very picky about games.

still held it's price well even after CoD WaW

Whats the difference between the game of the year edition, and the regular one?
#16
I started going for the golden sniper rifle in November on COD4 (XBOX) only another 100 head shots to go!!!. Got COD WAW for christmas but have yet to play it. Good price heat added............

You get a code for 4 downloadable maps with GOTY

but it should do - the game is over a year old and it's still at least £20. The retailers are taking the mick....

If you know someone else that wants one you can get 2 copies for £44.04 in argos making them £22.02 each
The photo isn't the GOTY though but I'm not sure if they still manufacture the standard one?

I imagine the publishers set the cost price to the store not much lower - it sells so well they don't have any need to discount it further.
That'll be why it's suddenly around £25 everywhere

Quite. With all the new releases out for £17.99 there's no way i'm paying £25 for a year old game!

It won't come down any time soon either if people keep buying it at these silly prices. Even the used price on this game is often too high (£20+ a lot of the time! no thanks)

I'm holding out til it's close to £15 ;-)
#24
how come only cod4 for ps3 is reduced to 19.97 :(
#25
cus no one plays it on ps3 :p.

The goty edition features 4 new maps that u get a download code for, if cod:waw hadnt come out then we wouldve had more support for this game but alas ms/activision stopped all plans for that, roll on modern warfare 2

Think you will be able to pick this up a lot cheaper after Killzone2 ships. Hopefully, any

COD4 is more playable on multiplayer than COD5...the only thing i play on COD5 now is Nazi Zombies online lol which is strangely addictive!

I traded my COD4 in for COD5....................thing i'll just have to buy it again plus never got to try out those extra maps which come free with this edition of the game!!

Happy days

I am pretty sure, that COD 4 will keep this price for a long time. People are still playing this game and they will buy this game for any price, because the multiplayer rocks :)
