Great price, I love my PlayTV but you need at least the 80GB PS3 or upgrade it if possible.

am i the only one who thinks these are a bit pap?,you have to have it plugged into a usb port,at the front which leaves the wire hanging out(unless you have 60gb)

It's the same for the 60GB, it doesn't have a rear USB port.

lots of people liek myself modded the 60gb to have 2 rear usb ports ;)

personally I have a Stand for my PS3 which, reasonably surreptitiously, turns 1 of my front USB ports into 2 rear USB ports.

Does anyone know if this is going to work with Freeview HD? I know it was uncertain as it's DVB-T.

If it is going to work it's a bargin!

It hasn't been uncertain for months and months and months....

This will definately not work with freeview HD. Not having a go at you specifically but a simple google search would have told you the same.

I'm not an expert but as I understand it, some countries broadcast HD in the DVB-T format (Australia & France I think) in this country we are the first country to use the more advance DVB-T2 format. So Play TV will play HD in DVB-T format but not here in the UK in DVB-T2. At the Freeview HD launch they used Sony & Panasonic IDTV's and Pace & Vestel set top boxes. Humax also have boxes on there way including a HD+ box. Hope this helps clear the confusion.

They have 5 or 6 in Toys R Us Enfield at this price, just came from there

#17
must mean playTV2 with HD is coming imminently so retailers dumping stock of the old kit

p.s. but it's still a great product.
