Just a heads up for anyone who is still after a pair of these, you can order them from HMV for the reasonable price of £2.99.

I received mine yesterday and can confirm that they are the exact same ones that came free with PSM3 Magazine. I've been told they're also available instore as well.

Sorry to be ignorant, but please could you give a brief explanation of what these are? Are they replacements for broken control pad triggers? Thanks :-)
#2
These are excellent.

You just 'snap' them on top of the existing L2 and R2 buttons, and instead of sloping downward, they then slope upwards, so they are more like a trigger (like on the 360 pads)

They feel so much better, and are great for people with sweaty hands, so their fingers don't slide off anymore, hehe!
#3
BTW, these regularly sell for between £10 and £16 on ebay, so £2.99 is an absolute bargain!
#4
Thank you. Sounds like a good deal for those gamers out there with sweaty paws! :-D

good deal, gonna buy it now, I guess these will be helpful for racing and shooting games!
#8
Voted Hot, this will make the controller more accessible for those that keep complaining about the controller's "triggers"

Picture of them...

It's only the 360 users that complain, in reality your fingers never slip off anyway.

A total waste of money IMO

are these availiable in stores?
#16
Got them for free last time when purchasing a copy of GTAIV from HMV in-store on the launch day
#17
I also got a copy free with GTA, and they are very good - although I admit i can't say I had much of a problem at all with fingers slipping off.

Good for a lot of people though.

Mine have not slipped off yet and they are pretty sweaty after 6 hours of gta 4, cant see the point in these tbh.

Great find thanks. Heat and Rep.

Can't see what a poor design of sony controller has to do with if you have a 360 or not.?

what poor design?

Hear we go :whistling:

Gamers have critisced the Dualshock 3 for having triggers where the fingers can slip of easily after excessive gaming for long periods with sweaty hands. The 360 controller combats this by making the triggers bend inwards not outwards so that the fingers fit in and not slip off
#26
Cheers don't even have a PS3 YET! But just purchased these lol
#27
Great find - heat added. Might play GT more now - unlikely though with GTA4 taking up all my time on the 360
#28
LOL! now there's modifications for controllers whatever next?

For sweaty hands.
#30
Hahahaha good one , however thinking of buying these, £3 is nothing
#31
They were free with the PSM3 magazine a few months ago. If you missed out get them now.

I couldn't go back to using the controller without them. I suffer from arthritis and still come first in deathmatches. :)
#32
Really these are a must buy - especially for racing games.

Although my fingers never slipped off with the standard pads, these make them 100% more comfortable and imo make the DS3 pad at least on par with the X360 controller (possibly better with the better d-pad and R1+L1/bumpers)
#33
Will have to pick some up, I hate the new style L2 & R2 buttons with a passion.

:)
#34
just ordered these voted hot
#35
Great deal - voted hot. Might pick these up if they're in stock in HMV, although I've not really had much gripe with the controller as it is, I like what they did with it. Modding things is always fun though, even if it isn't that necessary.
#36
Just ordered. Thanks a lot. Heat added.
#37
I got some of these free with a magazine, they feel really bulky to me and got in the way. I gave them to a friend. Probably useful if you have huge builders hands or something, but for average sized hands i wouldnt recommend.
#38
Good spot.

I was gutted as i heard about the mag giveaway too late and missed out. The pad is awkward depending on holding preference, especially for racers, and ofter you end up cramping up your hand to hold it. I know these are exactly what i need and have ordered. Nice one!!
#39
thx for link, ordered myself two sets, better pic of them here.
