^^^^^^

the moment you mention littlewood and codes your gonna get some icy breezes...is this voucher for everyone??? or just for the person it was intended because if thats the case and it is more often then not littlewoods and entitled to take that 20% back. Good "deal" in theory but its risky and not essentially a deal as with most voucher littlewood etc deals
#3
Well I joined up and used it, seemed ok. Got the slim!

Yeah I personally think its great for those who get it...but many many many times on here threads have been started moaning about littlewoods claiming vouchers back (sometimes more then one) and people owing a fair whack...thus the "deals" are not that great cos littlewoods/very/additions are usually more expensive outright...but hey if it helps some gues you have right intentions

just one example

Already posted here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/476024/playstation-3-slim-199-20-additions great deal tho I bought one from very. Awesome machine sold my xbox360 am so impressed with the ps3...

nah, people are just sceptics. i used a 15% one on additions for a release slim, and got quidco too. got delivered on 1st september, and additions have honoured it.
done this type of thing for years with consoles. dont know why people moan so much
#7
also to emphasise my point here is an earlier thread which i had created already highlight how cheap you can get a PS3 from littlewoods from

That code plainly states it for FASHION & FOOTWEAR, high profit margin items, so I would get prepared for them to bill you for the 20% discount.

When are Hotdeals, going to ban the mention of vouchers on Littlewoods groups high price stuff
#9
The price of this is £249.99, not £199.99.

It is the code that makes it cheaper, in which case why not make a thread for everything that Littlewoods sell, as using the discount code will make them all cheaper.

Hence, this "deal" is cold.

Never as they get cold hard cash for each successful referral... Money talks in this game and lets face it, that's the only reason this site exists...

they only check voucher codes infrequently so get ready for a debit of £50 from your account once they see you have misused a code.

happens all the time, hence cold!
#12
Littlewoods group vouchers posted on the internet are les likely to be honoured that the Lurve IOUs I get from the missus. :-D

If you fancy a gamble you might get lucky, but watch your account like a hawk as they can take weeks to notice and then still take the money from your account !

Thier T&C clearly state you must only use a voucher specifically supplied directly to you buy them, and if you cannot prove that they reserve the right to reclaim the voucher saving...

aha just read this :

buying a ps3 slim with this code which is only for fashion goods.

LWs systems are rubbish and let you use the code and then every now and then they go through all the recent sales and debit any codes used incorrectly (e.g. OPS ps3 slim using a fashion code so they debit the discount back from the account :w00t:)

I used a Littlewoods voucher when I bought my 360 Elite from there for £150. This was about 4 months ago, not had anything taken out of my account by Littlewoods as of yet, touch wood.

I have bought my ps3 from here used codes delivered very (excuse the pun )quickly.Add heat

Just do not get it on credit.... they charge 34.9% APR these days... they put their APR up by 5% 2 weeks ago, as if 29.9% was not bad enough to start with...

I got one for this price from very and am really pleased with it, so impressed I sold my xbox360 as a media centre the ps3 can't be beaten! only got killzone 2 so far but that game is better than prob any on the 360? I thought Gears of war 1/2 were great but killzone 2 just seems more gritty more like a real warzone? anyway great deal and great console!

Cold Cold Cold Cold and Never Never Never again will I touch Littlewoods. I used a code and ended up with nothing and oweing them money.

Used the code and they charged full wack. out of my account there and then. As I only had enough in my account for the discounted price, I got a £20 bank charge because there was not enough money in my account .

Get this the item was not even in stock and was then scheduled to be delivered 2 months later which is no good to me so cancelled the order.

Then they refunded me 2 much and I thought great because I had a bank charge because of them. However I then got a letter asking for it back with interest.

Therefore I ended giving them money for nothing and giving my bank an extra £20 for their xmas party.

Will never tough Littlewoods or its subsidaries again.

Huh, I'm actually kind of amazed they can do that. Alright there's an entry in the terms and conditions, but if you cut a voucher out of a magazine for 50% off shoes, took it into a department store and they let you use it off an item of electronics you'd laugh them out of the building if they came knocking for the difference a month or so later, or even asked you for the money next time you shopped there.

Surely the price agreed upon is final once money has changed hands? :| (I'm probably being hopelessly naive here but isn't that how mis-prices normally work on the net)
#23
the solution here my friend if you buy over the phone, ask them if they accept the code its good. once i've used this and went ok. If they say yup thats fine thats legal wont advise anyone to buy with this code online too risky my friend good luck.

This is how it works...

[*]You make an offer to a merchant
[*]They consider the offer, and all the voucher codes with that offer
[*]They decide to accept
[*]They dispatch goods and take money
[*]This forms a legally binding contract that states they have accepted your offer and have to supply the goods at that price or take them back, whatever their condition for a full refund - at no point are they within their rights to try and claw back any extra money.[/LIST]At this point, it doesn't matter what their T&Cs state as they do not override UK Law.

HUKD should ban all Shop Direct Group codes because of the disgraceful way in which they try to bully people and their dishonest practices. They will not do this however as each referral means money to the people that run the site, and in this life, it's money that talks... :whistling:

Thanks for clarifying that, I didn't think that could be anywhere near a legitimate practice :viking:
