Possibly the best game Adventure game I have ever played!
#3
Amazing game, I'm looking forward to the sequel "Among Thieves".

If you have a PS3 and haven't played this yet, you probably should at this price. Great game.

Bargain, amazing game.

super game! Defo buy.

Bargain, I completed it on hard the other day and I'm now going through it on 'crushing', really really good PS3 game - albeit with a few naff points: more than the occassional bug, the shootout sections become rather tedious and predictable - and it's not the most convincing of shootouts when you have one tbh.

The game pretty much goes on as such: explore/climbing section>>solve puzzle>>have shootout>>occassional chase sequence>>back to exploring>>repeat. Few bits of CGI sequences inbetween to push along the story line.

If you can forgive it all it's faults it's a rather excellent and exhilarating game at times, some lovely climbing sections with awesome graphics (and a great feel to them). Great sound design. Can't think of many better £11 or £12's that you could spend on a PS3 game :)

Brilliant game. cant wait for the sequel. Started the game again on more difficult setting. i never do that!

Great game. I have all the trophies except for finishing it on hard & crushing.
For some reason I've played it twice through and both times I had it on medium difficulty....duh!

Way better than tomb raider although I would like to see the puzzles being a bit harder or at least without so many hints.

Lol man it takes about 10-11 hours to complete on medium doesn't it? Took me 13-15 roughly on hard setting.

Yeah some of the puzzles are very obvious and easy. I thought the dvd-style featurettes were good - enjoyed watching those after I completed it.

God this game gets on my nerves.

The puzzle sections are fine but a little linear and will hopefully be improved in the sequel. The shooting bits meanwhile are so repetitive and the guns themselves are terrible. From the start of the fortress section it's the same five 'baddies' over and over. Can someone explain to me how I need to use puzzles and freeclimbing to get to the top of a tower only to find a lone bloke with an AK47, how the hell did he get there.

For all that though the cutscenes and story (that i've seen so far as i'm only two thirds through) are some of the best i've seen. It's like a drug, i'm pushing through the bad bits just to get to the next cutscene.

I think it took me about 15 hours on medium but I like to look around, if you know what I mean.
I think the production values on this game are very high, the acting is good (intentionally corny) and it had a great story although some people didn't like the last few levels but I did.

I used to be a big tomb raider fan right from the first version but having played Underworld I don't think I will be playing any further releases unless they sort their QA department out.

haha I know what you mean! You can't help but roll your eyes when you see a couple of barrels set up for you at the start of every shootout - with some ammo and grenades laid out:roll: What's worse is I think they tried to mimic Gears of War in regards to the shootouts. Didn't quite pull it off lol.

I have the guns set on maximum sensitivity, makes it alot easier after a bit of practise.
