By the way, from what I understand, this is pretty much the only game that actually uses 1080p graphics, rather than 720p graphics.

Did you mean native support of 1080p?

Notes
- All titles have been checked as being 1080p compatible firsthand by the back of the game box and/or by owning/playing the game at 1080p resolution. Unlike what is happening on the Xbox 360 game boxes, Sony doesn’t advertise 1080p on the back of game boxes unless it is a truly native 1080p title. A good example of this is the game Warhawk where in the Playstation Store they say it scales “up to 1080p” not that it is native 1080p. The Xbox 360 list of games advertised on game boxes is longer, but there are a small few number of native 1080p titles on the Xbox 360.
- games denoted by [ps] are sold via the PlayStation Store

This isn't true at all. The Xbox 360 can upscale all games to 1080p. The PS3 can not and games that have 1080p listed on the back of the box are merely games that either have a native resolution of 1080p or they support being upscaled to 1080p. In almost all cases, it simply means that games can be upscaled to 1080p.

Here's the native resolution of a couple of the games listed above as being 1080p: -

Red Faction: Guerilla = 1280 x 720
Midnight Club: Los Angeles = 960 x 720
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 = 1280 x 718
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood = 1152 x 648

So do not be fooled into thinking that a game renders at 1080p because it has 1080p written on the back of the box as it simply isn't the case.

WipEout HD isn't native 1080p constantly either. It uses a dynamic frame buffer to switch between 1280 x 1080 and 1920 x 1080 in order to keep the framerate consistent. It still looks great, regardless of that.

It's a PS3 exclusive so it's not available on the PC.

On a separate note:

Does anyone know the name of the game where you are in a vehicle and the object of the game is to crash into other moving and static vehicles to cause a crash and get points?

Nice find, excellent price.Just ordered and heat added.

Wow, excellent! I was thinking of buying this on PSN but it costs more for the two and I'd much, much rather have the physical game!

Heat & rep

P.S I know the pic is a PS3 game but no harm in putting PS3 in the title

EDIT: Actually, now I think about it it's nice not to have to get up and put in a disc to play fat princess! But what do I do when i want to sell the console? :?
#15
Awesome price for an awesome game, hot as it gets.

Still can't work out why the rrp on this is so cheap in the first place, it's bigger and better than tons of full price games out there.
#16
I played this the other day for the 1st time - very impressed - good fun, not too serious game.

Heat added, cost me £15 with staff discount a few month back!

I think at first it was a PSN only game so priced accordingly? Then came out on disc?

I took a screen grab of the page just in case as the title doesn't say Fury but picture and description do.

Oh, I absolutely hate the PS3 controller for racing games. The L2 and R2 triggers just aren't triggers!

The first console to really use the triggers was the Dreamcast (or maybe N64 if you exclude the Saturn's 3D analogue pad?) and it worked really well, as it did on the XBox and 360... but not the PS3...

I might pick up those little things you can attach to the "triggers" to make them more tactile and grippy.

Heat and rep! Used to love this when it first came out on the ps1 lol many thanks for the find :0)

OK, I used the checkout without creating an account (though I assumed I was) and saw the confirmation screen after I put in my credit card details. But I haven't received a confirmation email (checked my spambox).

Usually when you're putting all your details in they just ask you for a password to create an account and I assumed this bit would come at the end... now I have no way to track if the order went through or not!

Ah, what a waste of £3 ordering the triggers then :p I'm sure they'll come in handy for another racing game purchase in the future  Or maybe I could reassign the buttons to try them out?

My confirmation email came through a little later last night.
