The controllers are way over priced. How can they charge £40-45 quid for them?

good price but through experience i would never buy from gamestop again, customer service is appalling.

Majority of game console owners have a PS4 (apparently) over XB1, they can rake the money in. I'm waiting for a lower £30 price

If you walk into my local GAME (Bromley) these are on the shelf for £59.99!

Called GameStop last week and they confirmed more Blue/Red controllers will be back in stock next week. I was too impatient and bought red from Tesco with £10 off.

I'm waiting for a cheaper price too. I don't need a second control but it would be handy for the odd occasion.

I recall the xbox 360 controllers stayed above 30 quid for a VERY long time. There also seemed to be relatively few 3rd party pads, so maybe that's why?

Olisun - Yes they do, with a few caveats. I'm playing through Borderlands 2 with the Dualshock 4 wirelessly on PS3 at present. As I mentioned though it's not perfect.

First the rumble doesn't work, second the PS button doesn't seem to do anything so you can't turn the console on or off with the controller, nor can you return to the dashboard, you'd need to keep a DS3 around if you needed to go to the dashboard. Some games are not supported at all, probably because they need specific features of the DS3.

Also for it to work best you need a game that allows you to remap the controls, or has an appropriate controller preset. Remember the DS3 uses the shoulder buttons for shooting in fps, or brake/accelerate in racers. Well that translates directly to the DS4 so you would also be using the shoulder buttons for those actions, obviously you want those primary actions to be on the DS4 triggers.

Lastly you need two Dualshock 4 to make it practical, if you only have one each and every time you go back to play the PS4 you would have to resync the DS4 to the PS4, go back to the PS3 and you've got to sync it again.

They were expensive for a very long time. Even more so when you factor in buying the console three times due to the shoddy build quality so you end up with plenty of pads.

Yeah and they had boxes on the shelf, made me wait in a queue and then told me they were out of stock. Thieving scum sealing my time.

Thanks, ordered one. Better than paying £50/£55 in a shop.
