It makes no mentions of the Launch Edition, so I didn't like to emphasise on it too much. I just used the image they had on the listing.

I get a fuzzy feeling whenever I think back on this game. I actually really want to play it again, but there are all these new releases getting superlative reviews to get through.

Superlative, thank you! I was recently trying to remember that word and getting in a fluster about it.

Crazy year so far, unfortunately some of us are working through our backlog. :(
Still I've just managed to finish Nier before the sequel comes out. :D

This was a classic in my opinion. Reminded me of the original Tomb Raider with some of its puzzles. Plus the animation on T
rico was so impressive and vivid. Would play again but you know.... Zelda.... HZD.......

I really want to play this but only have a big standard ps4. I heard it runs really badly on that and you need a Pro to play it proper. Hopefully this is rubbish though.

Does it really play that badly? Wasn't mentioned in the reviews, and while I haven't played it myself yet, friends who have completed it on the Slim didn't mention it running badly.

Runs fine on a standard PS4. I had no issues, it's a great game too.

Absolutely loved this game. There were moments when it gets frustrating as hell trying to tell Trico what to do... but instead of seeing it as bad coding I kinda felt like I was trying to control an unruly pet. Made it more believable somehow.

Gone for it, if Zelda can get a free pass for 20fps then I'm more than willing to give this a go! The contrasting reviews have me intrigued and for this money, why not.

BS it's runs like complete crap and controls like a tank. Fair enough if you're not sensitive to these sorts of issues but don't say it runs "fine" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq-HUC20ehI&t=114s

Played it at launch to completion. It played just fine. If you are sensitive to these issues....maybe try Candy Crush instead.

Also played on standard PS4 and had no issues. well worth 20 quid. it's now the only reason I'm keeping my PS3 as I want to see what Ico and Shadow of the colossus are like as I've never played them.

Oh boy. Ico is overrated walking sim but SOTC is on another level. Its scale beats alot of PS3 and PS4 games. To think it was originally done on a PS2 is nuts.

The NDF have arrived! Typical Zelda bias galore, reviewers splashing Tens like Tye Dillinger, and so many errors (and don't say "it's the hardware not the software" because most reviewers reviewed the Switch copy (the so called "superior copy") and therefore if the game can't run properly on the hardware then that's the fault of the game developer, failing to develop properly for the given hardware set by Nintendo, no matter how many hardware problems the Switch has https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb-srOfRqNc )

shut up you complete idiot. the game looks like a living painting, the odd frame rate drops which have absolutely NOTHING to do with the gameplay are utterly irrelevant.

it's the best open world ever made, which until now was probably Witcher. there is no part of the world which can't be explored, it has challenging enemies, intuitive items for link to use, the shrines are brilliant bite sized challenges, fun & interesting side quests, great charming characters, brilliant story, charming music. It's is absolutely leagues ahead of anything released, I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, my allegiance is to gaming , I own Xbox one, PS4, vita, NDS, wiiu & now a Switch.

my favourite games of all time to name a few - Ocarina, Half-life 2, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 4, StarCraft, Diablo, Civilisation, Total War, Final Fantasy vii & ix & x, Mario Galaxy, Goldeneye, Tomb Raider, Uncharted 2, metroid prime n64, GTA V, red dead redemption, mass effect 2, halo, dark souls, demon souls, bloodborne, ninja gaiden, last of us, Halo CE, knights of old republic, ICO, shadow of collosus.

im a gamer & more than qualified to comment on its brilliance. it's not hyperbole. some people won't like it, but the huge majority do.

last guardian is a FAILURE - the frame rate drops I don't care, it's the poor controls , and frustrating game design. comparing this game to Zelda which plays like a dream is a JOKE. Now go away or come back with a real argument instead of calling me a fanboy.

It's insulting to compare the two. That would suggest they are similar and you only need to try one. Not the case at all.

And as for your other comment to someone else.. Wow. Fanboytastic.

The fact you think the utterly bland Witcher 3 was the best open world means your opinion is worthless. Nintendo games get high scores just because its from Nintendo.

hahahaha good god. you pick one game from my list & trash my opinion on that basis . for the record , you're right Witcher 3 combat was very weak & the characters were all so **** and serious, but I enjoyed the actual open world and the quests were enjoyable.

enjoyability of a game is subjective, I love wandering around open environments , equally I love being funneled down a story...gears of war, bioshock etc.

saying reviewers are all Nintendo fanboys is insulting to a lot of critics who have worked hard to get into the industry. the fact breath of wild is now highest reviewed game in history says something. I agree there are Nintendo fanboys out there but you can't seriously suggest they're all fanboys

I spent 10 years following last guardian expecting a masterpiece after collosus, instead got a game with frustrating 2002 controls. it's just lazy game design, a good game you shouldn't have to think about the game pad in your hand. last guardian made me want to launch the f**** through the nearest window.

until now open world RPGs have taken themselves far too seriously - Witcher, dragon age, Skyrim. it makes the characters bland. Zelda has a fantasy novel feel, one of the quirky characters on Zelda feels 100 times more real than any bland one in Witcher trying to be 'serious' and act.

oh I forgot Bayonetta off my list :p

don't disagree, sir. what I was more driving at is Zelda is on another planet in terms of overall execution. the odd frame rate stutter to realise the game they wanted is more than worth it.

Interesting list. Nothing older than the 90's, are you sure you're a real gamer? What about Pong, Space Invaders, Astroids, Atic Atac, Knightlore, Jetpac and SWoS?

Its been happening for years, with the HW as well. When was the last time they produced a really great console? DS maybe, or even N64.

This game ran perfectly on my PS4 - you don't need a pro to run this. Not sure what your talking about...

Then your definition of perfect is mediocre. Not sure what I'm talking about? Game is (along with SOTC) known for poor performance, you don't have a special PS4 which somehow performs better than everyone else's. I played this to completion to see what the fuss what about and whilst there were some nice set pieces and trico animates very well, it was just painful to play, constantly wrestling with the camera with limp controls. I'm sure you think trico being disobedient was clever realistic AI but it's not, just gameplay ps2 like gameplay where you have to get trico to stand on a specific spot before he does what you want.
