Probably better off selling the console online (Shpock, gumtree etc) then take the cash to game. Their trade in prices are a joke now.

It's no so much about that, it's about the software available on each platform, a platform lives or dies based on the software available, you can have the best hardware and no great games. Now if you have a gaming PC will the Scorpio have enough exclusive titles to warrant investing in the platform otherwise it's pointless. If you haven't got a gaming PC then there's still many excellent exclusives on PS4.

So my thinking is:

1. PC + PS4 covers you for most titles except Nintendo.
2. There doesn't seem to be a compelling reason for PC + Xbox One
3. There's always a compelling reason for PC + PS4 as the PS4 has many titles not on the PC platform, some of the best include The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, Drive Club, Horizon Zero Dawn, which somehow manages to best any current PC title for graphics, they did such a good job with that game, shame they don't develop for the PC to take advantage of the superior graphical power.
4. Therefore I'd need more information about PC + Scorpio to warrant buying a Scorpio, also I think you'd realistically need PC + PS4 + Scorpio as long as the Scorpio offers titles that will never be on PC
5. You can also add Nintendo Wii U and/or Switch if you want Nintendo titles, only Zelda interests me and I won't pay £350 just to play Zelda.

They used to price match. Now it's even worse.

To summarise, buy each console available + gaming pc, this will allow you access to all games. Well, duh. (_;)

Many PC games look nicer than HZD. Witcher 3, Crysis 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter... I could go on.

I guarantee those games won't look better when ran on a £349.99 PC.

1 thing is for sure is that ps4 pro is not a true 4k console

At least they'll run better than 30fps. And anyway, if you've already bought a PS4, paid for 4 years of online, and then bought a PS4 Pro, you could have built a much better PC. Never mind how expensive PS games are compared to PC games.

Again on a PC at the same price as the console those games won't look as good and also will have a framerate of about 10fps.

Having a high framerate isn't a saving grace when the Devs don't support majority of games after the first month or so on PC and the online community is generally dead in the same timeframe, the cost of console games and online subscriptions aren't so bad then.

NO, you summarise totally incorrectly. Why didn't you read what I said? I absolutely did NOT say buy all the consoles + PC, I made a point of saying the Xbox One appears almost redundant if you have a PC, whereas..oh just go and read what I said so I don't have to repeat myself!

Simply put, you're wrong. The physics, the detail, graphically there's nothing better than Horizon Zero Dawn currently.

I'd say BF1 on PC looks better. Also it's easier to cram in detail when your playerbase accepts 30fps.

Also he's not wrong, just you have differing opinions.

I do enjoy how defensive the owners of differing systems get and the need to justify their allegiance and expenditure. Does this happen with all hobbyists?

"Yeah but my 1984 Ford Escort still gets me to Liverpool and back just like your Audi R8 at a fraction of the cost even if I do call out the AA so much they know me by the tone of my voice"

"My goldfish cost much less than your coy carp and only need a £70 tank compared to your £5,000 10ft pond. Plus, all I need to do is look at them through a magnifying glass and it's practically the same as looking at your coy"

Good job I have a gaming PC and a PS4 then. I haven't seen anything better on PC than Horizon Zero Dawn and there's a few articles out there that agree with me if you care to Google.

I think it does look fabulous. I'm not saying it doesn't. My comment is aimed at how defensive people get over their beloved purchases and feel the need to defend or justify them. I have an Xbox One S by the way. Bought a gaming PC a few years back, didn't like the sterile feel compared to Xbox Live (my opinion), and constant compatibility problems getting the software to work smoothly on the hardware. I'm not a developer so don't wish to spend ages optimising the software to the hardware via settings. So I now barely use it. My Xbox I use all the time. I shall upgrade to a Scorpio when it's out because I want the best way to play on a system I'm comfortable with. I'm aware there aren't many exclusives for Xbox and that right now PS4pro is more powerful. I'm also aware that PCs will forever be superior in horsepower. It goes without saying. There is no limit to budget with a PC. What I don't care about is having an allegiance to a system or company. Couldn't give a hoot. It just amuses me that so many do.

Anyway, my opinion, you're entitled to yours. :p
