£174.99 for a PS4 Pro 1TB console on launch when trading in your existing PS4 plus any 5 games (except Fifa 14/15).

Seems a pretty decent deal if like me you've had one since launch and got plenty of older games that aren't worth much if trading in normally.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Offer valid from 10th November 2016 until 16th November 2016. Purchase a new PlayStation Pro 1TB for £174.99 (normal price £349.99) when you trade-in an original PlayStation 4 500GB (B Grade or above) plus 5 different PlayStation 4 games (excluding FIFA 14 and FIFA 15) and use the total trade-in value received against such purchase. Offer available in store only. Ask staff for details of grading or to find out what your console is worth. Trade-in must be completed in the same transaction as purchase. A Game reward account is required to participate. Game reserves the right to refuse anyone believed to be representing a trade customer. Game trade-in terms and conditions and Game Reward terms and conditions apply please see http://www.game.co.uk for details. Trade in and cash prices are subject to change. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, or with the We Won't Be Beaten policy. Store manager's decision is final.

In simple terms, game are offering you £129 for your console (at most).
Trade in 5 x £4 games = £20
Trade in PS4 = £129
Add in cash = £175
Total =£324 (price of PS4 pro at tescos)

I actually think this is a good deal. Selling a ps4 on ebay might get you more but then fees and the hassle of dealing with some people can be a real hassle when they always side with the buyer. Go to Cex and pickup 5 games at £4 each

After seeing this 'deal' yesterday I was confused about this part of the T&Cs...

Ask staff for details of grading or to find out what your console is worth.

Does this give Game an open window to mark down the value of your PlayStation console in a 'WeBuyAnyCar' kind of valuation?

Fair play for sharing the offer, and good luck :)

Traded in my PS4 the other day, price matched CEX and got £165 for it. Basically equates to about the same without the additional games?

If you grab some of the cheapest games you can that are still eligible, this isn't terrible. Throw away things like Killzone, Knack, some other launch games that are now only worth a couple quid.

Would be nice if they let you bring the original PS4 in a couple days later so you could transfer the data from one console to the other, or if they did that for you.

The offer states B grade or above. So, if your console looks like utter ****, you won't get this deal. If you've just got a normal used console, you're fine. Scratches etc should be fine, but damaged/cracked/covered in paint, probably not.

works out roughly the same as getting them to price match cex(assuming low value games)which makes a change.

They'll nitpick and downgrade your console. Mate of mine had this happen when trying to sell them a mobile. In great condition, but they deemed it 'grade b' So he took it to CEX who gave a much better price.

Game are nothing short of a disgrace.

From here

A Grade A Console is in 'as new' condition & needs to be:
Fully functional
New/Mint condition
No marks or scratches anywhere on the device
Original box and accessories must be included

A Grade B Console is in 'good' condition & needs to be:
Fully functional
Good general condition
Nothing more than slight cosmetic marks or scratches
Original box maybe included
No scratches on screen that distort the screen image when on
Compatible charger or cable in good condition

A Grade C Console is in 'fair' condition & needs to be:
Fully functional
Reasonable condition
May have some cosmetic marks or scratches
No scratches on screen that distort the screen image when on

I don't think it is that terrible, buy yourself some sub £5 games that aren't Fifa and you could do ok with it, also I don't think it was posted.

Yeah. FIFA may be excluded but NBA Live 14 and NBA 2K14 aren't, and those are pretty cheap and commonly traded in by now :P

Those PES 2105 and Killzone are all £4 at CEX so four games that will be accepted for £16.

So the pro will play games not available on the standard ps4? If not your want your head testing
#24
Soon they'll be asking to trade in gold. And offering pay day loans.

Would be nice if they let you bring the original PS4 in a couple days later so you could transfer the data from one console to the other, or if they did that for you.

You can back up your PS4 to any external hard drive. You'll need a bigger hard drive if you want to copy over game installs and patches, but there is also the option to just copy over game saves and settings (then reinstall the games when you next play them)

can someone please let me know why is this cold ?? I mean what's so bad is it the price ? will I get more for my console elsewhere ?

Fun fact:
The last time they did that was the halo reach console launch week, and that's exactly what they allowed to to do :)

They did it for the New 3DS as well, which was super necessary as the 3DS is a nightmare to deal with changing consoles...

Yeah, but I'd much rather just have a straight transfer across ethernet. Quicker, no need to buy a large enough hard drive.

Read the other comments. GAME price match CEX and they will give you £164 for a ps4. You can have £165 off a new PS4 Pro without trading ANY games.
#38
think gonna wait awhile, I do note some comments so might be better to wait a bit
#39
This is actually not bad - CeX offering £130 for the PS4, so this works out £45 for the games / £9 per game. Find games worth less than that (there are plenty at CeX) and you're in profit. Maybe it'd go for more on eBay but I wouldn't want to deal with all the hassle which seems to go with selling stuff on there these days, the horror stories have put me off.

That's if you trade it in now though, no? So ~2 months without a PS4, the price may have decreased by launch day, and probably will do as more people trade in.
