Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution and the infamous ‘Aug Incident’ in Panchaea that resulted in the death of millions at the hands of those who had installed augmentations. This event has created a huge divide between those who have augmentations, and those who do not. Amongst this emotional turmoil are various factions looking to manipulate the public by twisting public opinion of augmentation to further their own agenda and hide the truth of what really happened.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided also continues the story of Adam Jensen, a former biotech company security chief turned super-augmented, anti-terrorist agent playing by his own rules. Jensen has been empowered with all new augmentations, enabling him and the player a greater sense of self-control as they explore all new locations in-game. As social and political tensions reach a major turning point, Jensen and conspiracies surrounding the Illuminati continue toward an inevitable crossroads … and possibly, an epic showdown.

Wonder why so cheap so soon after release, usually you would think because the game is crap but the reviews say otherwise, heated

It's prequel, Human Revolution, tanked in a similar manner, despite good reviews. I suspect Eidos are just really aggressive with their pricing decreases over time? Plus, this game has (unnecessary for the main game) microtransactions too, so they may still make more money on top.

Crazy price for a new day one copy!

Any advantage to the day one over standard edition, does it have some exclusive dlc or something?

Regardless, great price for such a recent game.

The only thing that gave me pause for thought was that I read - some time ago mind might have improved - that the console version was graphically very poor compared to the PC one, looking like PC low settings in places but I have since read this game has had PS4 Pro support added, which will surely bump the graphics back up a notch or two and it's only a tenner....

So soon? It was released last year in August... Seems about right.

Square Enix US / EU arm always overship their games at launch (Tomb Raider, Hitman, this etc), so retailers have to get rid of their stock, hence why SE's non Japanese games drop in price so quickly.

Thought it would reach this price soon enough, ordered. Thanks OP!

I do this too. I have a lovely collection of new PS4 games in shrinkwrap, it will almost seem a shame to finally get round to opening them.

Not any more. The Day One edition had the DLC that was released for free for all owners of the game a couple of months ago, so all you're really getting is a slightly different artwork on the box.

Nice one , needed something new to play and that price is right

I too may have to buy this for the pile of shame.

Managed to resist. Dropping like a stone, no reason it won't further. Also, epic backlog etc.

It's a great game! I'm playing it at the moment and enjoying it a lot.

There were a quite a few AAA sequels that failed last year. None of which is necessarily a reflection of their respective quality. Just look at Titanfall 2, Watch Dogs 2 and also Deus Ex. Great games that didn't meet sales targets. Good for the consumer in the short-term. Unfortunately, like in the case of Deus Ex, this has an impact on the development of future games, too.

Exactly this. unrealistic sales projections and ship numbers. Bethesdsa do it too, Skyrim numbers on everything since... Don't buy 'Prey' on day one.

Haha I haven't opened Alien, Mad Max, Skyrim, Star Wars Battlefront, Dishonoured 2. Ones I shouldn't have opened are The Division, Uncharted Collection and Doom as I haven't played them. Good job I didn't buy the new Final Fantasy as that would still be wrapped!
#29
going to wait for an edition with all DLC but still a fantastic buy!

Thanks just ordered

Couldn't play this on ps4 , gave up after first mission, thought the frame rate was awful...or it just seemed that way , not as smooth as I remembered human Revolution being when I played on pc
#32
£10...ridiculous price. I've not played it but Human Revolution was awesome, and this is better from all that I've read. Heat.
#33
Seriously good game with a lot of details. I hated it when I started but now I can't put it down. Different people will have different experiences depending on side missions being activated that can't be replayed as the main story progresses and multiple different outcomes. There is always at least 2 or 3 ways to approach a situation. And you can just explore around and find hidden apartments or areas. Once you get used to the controls and game play it's worth playing.

Game was terrible.
There were no boss fights and it is nowhere like Human revolution. I stopped halfway and am selling mine

Some movies are unwatchable to certain people less than half way so I don't see the logic here but I disagree that it's a terrible game. It's just an incomplete one and I'm glad I got rid of it as soon as I beat it back in August. Will wait for the GOTY edition and get the complete story that I waited for years after Human Revolution.

Saw it for £9.99 on Xbox One in my local Sainsburys, might be worth a look if you don't want to wait for postage

One of the best from last year - steal at £10

Wouldn't you ? Or would you sit through an entire dull movie ?
