Also keep an eye out for Bioshock on PS4 at 14.99 They had some copies in Oldbury at that price. Was tempted but I have the dreaded backlog......Maybe laxatives will help.

Got this via the psn miss price. The game has potential to be great. But the combat is very boring and poorly executed.
#6
hmm I wonder if it'll get any better price wise.
waiting to see if the season and game come down to a nice price.
#7
only gone and brought it, heard mixed reviews, don't care for 20 quid, will make my own mind up :{

Massive amount of content in this game. I'm close to finishing the post main story stuff & I'm nearly 300 hours in.
#9
Great game with hundreds of hours play, looks amazing on a 4K tv with a ps4 pro

is this easy to get into for a newbie

Yes, the game doesn't follow traditional trend from other Final Fantasy games. The stories don't over lap, or follow from the previous title (unless it's part 1, 2, etc (Final Fantasy 13.1,13.2,13.3)). Just creatures, magic and summons etc.

The combat is a little odd, it's very simple to understand. But the game wants you to play at a fast pace, but then punishes you for not blocking way in advance.
The camera is pretty poor, and there's a lot going on, to keep an eye on multiple creatures around you. I tend to get knocked about by basic attacks, while focusing what's going on in front of me (not dying, but taking a few hits does remove your style points at the end of each battle).

The tutorial at the start of the game is recommended, it's pretty well done.

I only paid £10, and was impressed at the quality in the title. I've only put in roughly 4-8 hours, and the combat is disappointing. I feel like I'm not really doing anything, hold Circle (O) and let the game do the rest. I've not played the game in a couple of days due to the combat, but if it was more engaging, I would be glued to it.

No need to get tense about it........ You see that's funny because you're trying to pull me up on a minor grammatical mistake that my phone made.Enjoy your day patrolling the internet for such major crimes :p

Au contraire...
I thought the combat system was one of the stronget parts of the game, once you get used to it...
The protagonists have nothing endearing about them but the story was good, the scenery fantastic but mostly, the fights (mostly boss battles) were great :)

Definitely going to pick up the Season Pass when multiplayer is released :D

That strategy won't work for long...
Use wait mode to select your targets (to place spells on a central target for maximum effect and to overcome the sometimes awkward camera angles).
Use Libra (scan) to select the best weapons / spells for your foes.
Warp to high locations to get rear attack and warp strike bonuses.
Also, use block a lot (you won't get past the boss battles without it) - counters inflict extra damage and open them up to follow-up attacks.

A general hint is to try to aquire the "Regroup" ability for Ignis ASAP - your party can sometimes get embroiled in an unwinnable melee - Regroup pulls your party out of the action and restores HP/MP.

Decent price. Ok playthrough. Once story was done could not pull myself to "fully complete it". Lost interest.

Bought it on the £10 deal, really wish I hadn't. The characters and story is so dull. I've heard it improves later on, but having come from number 7 I was expecting instant brilliance. Have stopped playing only a few hours in and can't see myself returning

I've not played FF games since IX although I did play online with FFXI. FFX didn't interest me at all with it's linear story telling. FFXII didn't interest me either. Went outisde town fought some bad guys and put it down never to play again. Someone lent me their copy since they weren't playing it and I didn't want to waste my money on another bust. So I borrowed it and I've never looked back. Finished it in two weeks but it's totally upto you when you finish the game as you can charge head first in following the storyline or you can do subquests. I went with exploring Eos with my Chocobros. Totally adore Ignis. I just love this game so much in spite of all its flaws. I am looking forward to the Ignis DLC in Q4.

I ended up buying the game because I had some vouchers so I didn't really spend a lot on this game but boy it's worth it!

It's slightly more involved, as there's plenty of stuff you can do with Noctis (chain attacks and managing warp attacks etc). As I mentioned in another thread here on FFXV it's ridiculously easy - though having said that I'm having trouble with the final (I think) post-game extra dungeon as you aren't allowed to use items. It wouldn't be FF without some toughies so about time ;)

I've put 150+ hours into the game so it's well worth £20

My first final fantasy game went in wanting to say atleast played one game in the series. Didn't regret a single bit when I paid £55 for the 2disk collectors edition. A great game to get platinum in. Story wise honestly a beautiful story ...word of advise try to catch the film kingsglaive not necessary but will give better understanding of what's going on

I was a huge fan of FF7-9 didn't get on as well with 10 and couldn't get to the end of 12, is this worth going back to?
#23
Really disappointed with how Final Fantasy has gone the past few years. 13 was terrible and the game design is just mind boggingly poor; FF developers seem to think that fun, engaging end of game content is constant grinding. Oh, and you can only get the best weapons AFTER you finish the game. What's the point of that?! It was the same for 13 as well!

Give me FF7, 8 and 9 all day long.

I can't remember a SE game I haven't had to grind in for a weapon or something. I found this one the easiest one. The AP was the most annoying with me leaving my console on all night & earning it from driving or constantly spawning enemies to warp down with the shield of the just. The biggest grind came in the post game menace beneath lucis dungeons with one being 100 floors & another not allowing you to use any items oO

The game looks amazing but the fighting becomes a bit tedious and so does watching all the loading screens, 4?guys driving from destination to destination in the car is enough to drive u mad by the end of the game and when u do finally get the flying car it's no faster than the normal one lol games good for one play through

Your phone didn't make the mistake, you did. Phones don't edit correctly spelled words and change them into different words.
