As title states. Don't forget quidco.
The only cheaper price I could find was £16.49 at GameBeta but I haven't heard of them before and they don't do Quidco

Anyway you pays your money and you takes your choice.

HI guys.

I've had a PS3 since 2007 and play it fairly often. I don;t have a huge amount of games but i have most of the recent ones and i tend to swap with friends too.

I play online a lot, its where the most fun is to be had IMHO!
My question is, what is a "PSN card" for? I assume its for buying things from the PSN network, but what is there on there thats worth buying?

There MIGHT be a way for some of you to get this slightly cheaper.

My wife has Platinum status on her Great universal catalogue.

This means she gets 10% cash back or 12.5% if she spends it on further goods (which she always does)

Quidco are also paying 8% cashback.

That gives 18% cash back if we take the 10% as cash, making the PSN £20 card cost only £16.40

or 20.5% if we take the 12.5% as goods, making the PSN £20 card only cost £15.90

Good price for PSN credit - lots of nice stuff to spend it on atm too -

Lara Croft coming this week (or earlier "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" Early Access Offer [PS3 / PC] from GameSpot (UK))

Castle Crashers due to drop soon.....

....and BC2 Vietnam expansion :D

Best stock up......;)

Depends on what games you play. The COD games have extra map packs you can buy via PSN

Flower is good, even if it does sound a bit gay. Downloaded Plant Mini Golf as you can use the Move with it and it's ok, though not brilliant. It's nice to play smaller games from time to time rather than some of the massive epics that are produced these days. There's a lot of PSOne classics on there too.

It's worth checking the games you currently have for extra content (some free, some paid for). I got two extra levels of the first Army of Two for free :D

Have a look at the special offers section of PSN, updated fortnightly. Fanpages usually posts it as a deal, which generates a lot of heat. You can get Pain for £3.29 at the moment and theres a couple of other half price games on there.

If you regularly "share" titles with your friends, buckfast67uk, then you will not be use to paying for items, so the term may be alien to you, but a PlayStation Network card is like an iTunes card, or any Voucher Code Redemption Scheme, where you purchase a predefined amount of credit for use online to purchase items outright in a legal manner.

I would advise strongly against "Game Sharing".

Once you have provided your PlayStation Network Id (user name) & password to another person your entire account is then outside of your control.

You would obviously think of removing your previously stored payment details (credit or debit card) so that the other person does not have sight of these, but you may now be aware that a "sub-account" can be created that will be linked to your "master" account (the details of which you provided). The "sub-account" will have a different PlayStation Network Id (and password) & it will also have a different e-mail address.

When control of your primary (master) PlayStation Network account is handed back you may not think to check if any (new) sub-accounts (now) exist. Of course, the other party may have removed existing sub-accounts (either by accident or intentionally) too.

You may think to change you password immediately, but if you do not notice the newly created sub-account, and then (re-)register your card payment details you may find out the sub-account holder has bought something without your consent at a later date.

When your main (master) account is within the control of the other party your entire history of downloaded content (save for SingStar/Rock Band/Guitar Hero/etc. tracks & PlayStation Home content) is also available to the person you are trusting with your details.

Any entitlements you have to Beta/Test versions of games or your PlayStation Plus subscription discounts are also then available to the other person.

You are violating your terms & conditions of usage sharing your PlayStation Network Id user name/password & the other person's actions whilst online may cause your account to be locked/banned.

You are also exposing your Friends List to the other party & they will be able to send/receive messages by the XrossMediaBar from/to your account.

Your real name, gender, & your date of birth are also available to the person you have handed your account to; as well as the details of all sub-accounts associated with your main 'master' account [for example, those you may have created for your kids, including their genders & birth dates].

Maybe not as much of a concern, but worthy of note; the other party can log-in to the PlayStation Forums/Blog & post messages (as if they were you).

All this aside, here is the list of offers available until 29 September 2010:
European PlayStation Store Special Offers until 29 September 2010 now with "Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue" free downloadable content for one week

Thanks for referencing my current "Freebie" listing above, 'fc':
"Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" Early Access Offer [PS3 / PC] from GameSpot (UK)

Sorry about the 'rant', Andy@.

BFN,

fp.
