I'd recommend Fat Princess and Trine, both are very good. Also Trine is now worth buying at its price.

Wow I remember reading about fat princess long ago but did not have a PS3 (Now I do yay!), I have not even signed up to PSN, actually is it the same as the PS2 PSN?? as I still have that account.

Either way I can just buy this

and then just buy this right?

fat princess is a must, we have the free download (only demo) and it is really good.
#4
Sweet. I quite fancy Trine but there was no way I was going to pay £15.99. I was waiting for a price cut and what a cut. Just need to wait for COD classic price cut now.
#5
These reductions just bring the games more into line with the prices Sony should have charged in the first place.

Heat added though.

Yes it is a fun game. Haven't played for a few months ever since my broadband supplier sent me an email about fair usage (I just play games, I don't download movies, music etc..).
Just about to be promoted from Sarge so I'm gonna be locked out of the noob servers.

You may be able to use the same account, I'm not sure. In all other aspects, the PSN is miles better than the PS2 PSN.

Thanks zabbyh - repped :)

Can you explain why the 2 prices listed for each? i was at first assuming PSP/PS3 price, but that doesn#t make sense for the PSP only games.

Also, anyone know what the PSN worms is like?
#11
Am I the only one who was disappointed with Fat Princess? But it gets very repeatitive very quickly and, as Eurogamer stated in their review, you normally get a stalemate situation where neither team really progresses for a long time.

I was really excited about it before it came out, bought it on the release day and haven't played it since a couple of days after that.

These are great deals if you want any of those games via PSN, so I suppose technically it is hot, but personally I think some of the other past/current PSN offers have been much better (e.g. Bomberman Ultra is currently £3.99, Riff, Pixeljunk Monsters, Super Stardust HD, Command and Conquer Retaliation have all been cheap too).

edit: The Last Guy was cheap last week, too.

given the differences, its possibly the Euro prices
#13
Seeing this deal has made me buy PSN credit for the first time.
#14
Warhawk is a brilliant game. One of the early great games many must have missed out on.

Yes, the prices without £ signs are Euro prices.

The price list is also on the original article on the Playstation Blog. They give details of the updates/price cuts every Thursday morning.............

I'm going to get Trine on the 24th - loved the demo.

Now at £7.99 for Fat Princess I'm actually tempted buying it I might later.

I thoroughly recommend Bomberman also it's a fantastic game, I've currently only got 2 controllers, but it would be great with 4 controllers/players! Had it on the Amiga many years ago and it's still so good :)

Does anyone know when these deals will expire? I just ordered a PSN £20 credits card online today, which I expect will take a week to arrive :(

I pretty much agree with your feelings about Fat Princess. I was often in no-endo games of stalemate when I was playing months ago. I also found that their matchmaking blew big chunks, but maybe they've fixed that since then.
I was tempted by Braid (new to PSN this week) but I think I'll get it from STEAM this week seeing as it is loads cheaper there.

Fat Princess at £8 still seems a bit steep after trying the demo last night.

Is it just me, or is that fair comment>
#26
Also, Burn Zombie Burn for only £3.19 (great value for this addictive arcade game).
Also bought Trine.

Game is pretty fun but there are two problems.
AI isn't good enough so it tends to mean that the team with the most humans always wins; they improved the situation by restricting people from swapping teams.
There is a lack of momentum; when a team makes advances, there is no tipping point that ensures a win. This would be improved if you could respawn in a captured castle or at least transport to them easily, or also if the troop upgrades were more expensive and were more powerful.

Yes, that's what I thought from the demo. It all got rather tedious, very quickly. I'd pay £3-£4 for this game.

Trine at £8 is a bargain though  I also bought Burn Zombie Burn.
