First deal posted so be gentle.

This seems like a more reasonable deal for a PSP. Unfortunately I bought one on release day and it's been collecting dust on my shelf ever since. May be useful for someone though.

Yeah, there are a few good games. I couldn't get enough of Midnight Club 3, Need For Speed Underground:Rivals and Ridge Racer, but I like racing games. The best thing to do is try and get a PSP that's got a homebrewable (is that a word?) firmware. Dark Alex does a very good firmware replacement. You can then play ISO's (from your legal backups of games you own obviously).

Is a good price compared to the RRP which I believe is now £129.99. With regard to the games - the PSP isn't only useful as a games machine - I'm having one brought over from the US at the moment to use as an mp3/ movie and photo player, also can be used at wireless hotspots for web access.

Oh yeah - it also helps if you like racers.

there MUST be a place to get this cheaper ?? Surely !! This is so old now in terms of technology.

I wouldn't say it's that old. I'm no expert but in my opinion there's still some life left in the PSP yet. Sony need definitely need to do some hard work to get ahead of the game though, PSP and PS3 wise.

The PSP's got to be one of the most under-rated gadgets ever. It's a great little movie player and the games are plentiful and getting quite cheap now. If you travel alot then it's brilliant - movies/games/music/web access.

For cheap good games get Fired up or Everybody's Golf. Medal of Honor is decent shooter too.

It's funny how it's the cheapest at the 2 places (Tesco Direct & Currys) with the worst customer service ever.

Good thinking g1ordano ;)

I use my psps mainly for watching video on the way to work in the morning and the way home in the evening. The latest (Unofficial)firmware lets me play encoded episodes of my favourite shows at full screen which is something I had trouble doing with the Sony firmware.

As for games, I only have a handful which I would consider any good at all :(

In my book, my DS is for games (pokemon at the moment) and my psp are used for video. Saying that, you cant beat a bit of Loco Roco once in a while.

Yeah, I have a couple of them on that firmware.

If they were to drop below the magic £100 mark, I would be scooping a few more up for friends and family. They make great portable media players once you unlock the features :)

I love the PSP.

PMP quality for video is extremely underated. forget their own MP4 or AVC video, try pmp video. amazing flawless quality. and great for my 3 month trip to south america. theres nothing like lugging a tv, dvd player, ps2 and camera viewer around on your hols!

isn't the current argos better? For £130 you get the psp starter pack, psp accessories and any £20 game....

the offer is on their website but when you go to purchase it the price is £150.....

the offer was also in the local daily mail.... so going to take the advert tommorrow and hopefully purchase one....

There is nothing wrong with the PSP. Old? How many handhelds can play music, video, photos, games AND surf the web? It will be good when you can go online and d/l PS1 games for it. I'd say it's ahead of it's time. I just wish that Sony would endevour to let it do what it's capable of FFS!
Stop updating firmware and open it up to the open source community. Why is that so difficult?

Try adding all three items to the trolley.

Save £20 when you buy the PSP console (black - 568/1541 or white - 568/1864), accessories kit (567/8633) and any £19.99 game, as shown below. To receive offer add 3 items to trolley. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other PSP offer. Offer ends 27th July 2007.
