clearence item - get a slim
#2
admittedly the 1gb mem sticks are a bit dated now, you can get a proper sony 4gb for about £40, but this is still cheap. The slim ones are a few mm thinner but this is still Hot
#3
Also, doesn't the slim have speedier processor?

Official Sony Pro Duo 4gb is £30 at Play.com

Well, the Slim PSP has 64mb RAM compared to the older PSP which has 32mb.

You wont notice the loading speed on the older games, only on newer games. :)

Fake sony 4gb cards can be brought on ebay for about £15.

I have one, and it works fine.

The PSP Phat 'n' Heavy will doubtless be discounted everywhere while they last.

CPU is the same but Sony recently ratified 333Mhz as OK to use. The chip was deliberately down-clocked to 222 to preserve battery life.
#7
Didn't sony admit that the battery life of the slim is actually worse than the phat after bulling it up to be better?

Voted hot here and I am in no rush to buy a 'slightly' thinner PSP just for the TV out...

I got one and it would only let me write 256Mb

did sony run down stores before the release of the slim as nowhere has had stock for months now which means there are very few around to be discounted to get rid of.:-(
#10

Send it back.

Mine has loads of games and a couple of Family Guy series to watch, took the risk, and it paid off.

good price - i have a normal psp which i paid £80 for with Exit PSP Game and 1GB Card plus other bits on eBay - and i think its a nice little handheld and i wouldnt want it slimmer or lighter. its not a dramatic overhaul like the DS got.

Anybody else got lucky and verified this deal?

Depending on what firmware is on the console you will have to do different things to get it downgraded, give me a shout and I'll point you in the direction of tips on how to downgrade etc, just have to look for games yourself, I cant give out links to pirated materials.

Mike..
