Good deal and you can pick up the 3 year cover for an additional £21.00. Which gives you peace of mind.

Although most people get PSP's to flash and use for 'backup' games!
#2
doesn't work for me - have done as you said and added Burnout Dominator as the game - coming up as £169 on the site?
#3
is that on the right page in the catalogue?

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5682832.htm

thats the link, the offer is at the bottom of the page

Crash team racing
Star wars battelfield 2
cars
worms open warfare
pro evo 6
lego star wars 2

etc etc

was hoping you might be able to put the £10 voucher towards a memory stick but they're hugley over priced on Argos

if you just need basic saves then you can buy the action reply thingy for 14.99 which comes with a 64mb card, so it woudl be a fiver. Or you get a 3rd off it when bought with any 19.99 game, so using the gift card you get get say , metal gear portable ops & 64mb card action reply thing for £20
#5
Got ya! Works a treat. Rep given - nice work!

What's the best game of the bunch to plump for?

You can get Mem Sticks online for dirt cheap. Places like ebay can get you a 4gb for£ 30ish or 1gb for less then £10.

Great price for a great piece of kit! Thanks

If you are looking for a top game then Syphon Filter Logans Shadow is a very good game!

eBay is full of fake cards - Play.com have probably got the best deals at the moment for official Sony memory cards:-

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/3-/1914/2-/Promo.html?page=promo

2GB - £17.99
4GB - £38.99 (was £36.99 the other week)

Dont buy the memory sticks off ebay. They are nearly always imitations from Hong Kong. Play.com sell them really cheap and with free delivery it's worth picking it up there.

Turns out Lazy Donkey beat me to the post!!

You can get a 4GB SanDisk Gaming Memory Stick PRO Duo from play.com for £31.99. Might be a better option than ebay.

EDIT: Beat me to it too

Get a nice sony 2Gb memory card. Why try and save on a card? ebay is full of fakes believe me.

Play deliver these fairly quickly so I would go for them or dvd.co.uk as they have some good offers on at the moment.

Good deal - heat added.

cheers Loner - have gone for PES and will proberly sell Fifa 07 that I've already got.

Nice work!
#27
Don't buy memory sticks off eBay, not only because they are of inferior quality and will break (which they will) but because they are poorly built, one of mine got so hot it burnt me, good job i'd just ejected it else it would have melted my PSP!

In that list of games PES is by far the best imho, very few games on the PSP have impressed me so far, ToCa, Syphon Filter, Exit, Metal Gear Ac!d, GTA and Wipeout are the only really decent titles.

Just remember you are essentially buying a cut down PS2 with ported titles everywhere! I only play PSX games on my PSP, prefer my DS for everything else.
#28
looks good - does anyone know if "homebrew" software will work on this version of the psp yet?
#29

I just got back from my Argos (Consett) with the package.HOWEVER - the website is wrong. There are no cables in the box - only the PSP S&L,battery, book & charger. They say:includes USB component AV cable allowing playback of games, video and pictures via your television.
USB AV cable - allowing playback of video and pictures via your television.
Been on to Argos & they said they would look into it.
Expect the website to be changed soon.
Already got a PSP - this was bought purely to use on my tv.

I'd never heard of them either. Postage adds almost £4 to the price !
I've just ordered one off ebay for £4.98 in total.
#36
same price but a better selection of games from Gamestation (but no accessories pack or voucher, but id rather have a better game):

I know their is modded firmware for 3.60 version (Slim) but not sure if it allows homebrew. Would think yes though.

Should find your answer in the link.

Can't you buy £100 of gift vouchers so you get £20 in free vouchers?
#40
I'll wait until the cables are included. Yes, no doubt the lite will, eventually, allow homebrew.
