Yes all slim & lites can be done.
The newer ones by the HEN exploit. I have read a little into it, and it seems that it isn't very stable, so I haven't tried it on my friends PSP which can't be done by the more conventional method.

i tried to hack my PSP slim which i got fron WHSmiths ... but no luck .... i cut the pin on the chip ,didnt work then i scape of the line on the battery still dodnt work ... but i am surprised that the battery is still workingas normal after doing all these .........
if anyone wants to know how to hack a PSP just go to youtube and search , there are 100s of videos ...
but its risky

Dark Alex is m.i.a at the moment but there are some teams able to "work" on the firmware
#8
I used one of these on my 3000, it wasn't as easy as they made out but somehow I managed to push a sequence of buttons that got the firmware installing. Of course, once its on thats it, you can do pretty much anything.

Looks like I'm a bit out of date though, I'm sure the firmware I used started with a 4...

The battery needed charging first though, which caught me out when it arrived. Leave it plugged in for a few hours before starting the process.

Unless I've not been reading things right, these Pandora batteries can recover messed up PSP's, so its not as risky as it was? It used to be that if the flash failed you might as well jam the PSP under your door to keep it open, now you just try again?

Does this battery mean you can un-brick your PSP from ANY upgrade/flashing cock up?

Erm that wasn't wise. You'd need a spare battery because a developer modded battery doesn't work as a normal battery anyhow. I have a datel switch which you just plug the battery into, press a button and it switches the battery between normal & developer and back again. It's not as cheap as this solution though.

Little point in having one if you have a 3000 or 2000 with a TA088V3 mobo

All 1000s can be all 2000s before they came from the factory with 3.95 firmware can be done, any 2000s after 3.95 and any 3000s can be done using HEN, but not with the pandora battery, all psps can get custom firmware it's just a lot easier on the earlier models as they can be pandora'd.

There is a very good "how to" at Gizmondo -

You're wrong, PSP-3000 ships with TA-090 motherboard which is Pandora battery proof, you must have another model PSP.

Plug power adaptor in without a battery, turn on PSP, insert battery, take out power adapor. You now got a working PSP battery to power your PSP (until you turn it off)

I don't understand why those that need to use a hacked battery to mod a PSP resort to cutting a track inside their official PSP battery instead of just buying one of these with how cheap they are!

i hacked my battery and it worked fine, after a while the battery leg came loose and snapped so need a new battery. Great Bargain if you ask me

This battery is ok but poor quality. I bought 1 ages ago and left it in my drawer for use when I needed it then a couple of months later when I needed to use it, it wouldn't work and couldn't even charge.
#24
I was told this can soon be done with a normal battery soon anyway so cold

Totally wrong, of course you can play backup games. After you've triggered HEN u just need to run custom firmware enabler or 5.03 GEN A.

Not any 3000. If your 3000 is running firmware > 5.03 then you cant run HEN.

im still on v2.51 i think !!!!

How long does delivery take from DX?

I've been waiting about a week now and not had an e-mail from them saying they've shipped it.

Do they even send one to let you know they've dispatched your items?

They do but when they dispatch it and you probably won't receive it for a week after that. So it can be at least a couple of weeks in my experience.
