Don't expect this to get much heat, but for those who like their pies (yup that's me) its a good deal. Pukka pies are the ones you get in yer local chippy - lubbly jubbly pies. All varieties fer a knicker - usually about £1.60

I was in a tesco express today (St Helens) & they had 'peters' pies for 50p. Meat & potato or cheese & onion. Although I believe pukkas are superior pies.
#3
£1 in Sainsbury's & Asda too

'peters pies'? Who the hell is 'peter'? Pukka are the pies of the connoisseur - all others are but a pale imitation :)

Ah, now that was actually a modern Transit van, but rebodied. Can't remember the name of them now, but they went bust anyway. They used to have the large curved glass frontage place on the corner, right?

Don't mind a nice pukka pie & chips.
Wonder what happened to Robirch pies? remember them from way back in the 80s, and then they just vanished (trust pink!), not that they were as nice.

In 6 months the regular price has risen from around £1.12 to about £1.58. Has inflation really been running at 82% per annum in the UK this last year ?

The price of popularity, I guess :x

As for the rest of these philistines, they need someone to show them the path to enlightenment.

Rubbish deal!

Rubbish Pies!

Rubbish Price!

Wrights pies are the best obviously!

£1 for a pie eh?.....Hot from a bakery, acceptable. At the chippy, a bargain. But from a supermarket?!.... aint too hot a deal to me.

You could instead get 2x tescos own pies for £1, or for an extra quid fifty and get a family pie 6x the size instead!!!

But then, in comparison to previous posters in this thread, im clearly not quite so fussed about, or protective over, pie brands!!!!

Sorry but looks like dog meat in that photo above.

Quality pies. Well worth the money. Nice one.

Peter's Pies make me want to hurl, which is a shame, as my name is Peter.
#32
pukka pies full of gristle, peters pies are the best in my opinion.
#33
if your after a pie argument:-D

wrights are the best, pukka aint bad though, heat

Hollands have gone down the pan in the last 10 years they were good in the 80's

for me Greenhalghs & Asda meat & potato pies are the best no hard potato i haven't tried pukka's meat and potato so i can't comment.
suspended#36
i like these the all steak but need more meat and are slighty to peppery

Good luck finding anything in them though ;). I don't buy pies because they tend to lack contents or be too expensive, I make my own.

You not tried Holland's Pies then ;-)

Cold from me, even a quid is too expensive for a piece of pastry with a smudge of gravy inside.
