Ok, I know this will probably go sub-zero in seconds as it's 'not an iphone' (or particularly magnificent brand of any sort!) but I thought it worth posting as I've never seen a solar powered mobile phone before, and thought it may be of use to someone!?

The Puma mobile phone is made for an active lifestyle, both physically and digitally - just put it in the sunshine and let the built in solar panel do the rest.

This stylish mobile phone features a solar charger, turntable music function and a sporty GPS tracker.

Puma world gives you direct and easy access to multimedia news, social networking and downloadable Puma apps.

Hit the road with Puma's Sports Tracker and monitor your performance while running, hiking, skiing or biking - you can even use the GPS to see were you've been.

Check out GPS Maps and 3D Yachting Compass - a map of Europe with pedestrian navigation and superb 3D Yachting compass.

Use video chat to see who you are talking to, or browse your favourite web sites on the 2.8 inch touch screen. A 3.2 megapixel camera lets you capture shots of all your adventures when you're out and about.

Other great features include an MP3 player with scratching turntable, sarcastic calculator, and a Puma roar every time a new email arrives.

Useful info:
•2.8 inch touch screen display

If only I had transparent pockets...
Based on the reviews, poor touch screen and internet. Must be headache to use it, get yourself a droid.

To be fair, the reviews go both ways, either very bad or very good. I wonder if there was a bad batch of these. Poor screen would be down to the phone, poor internet is often the provider. I get dismal internet on my Samsung Tocco Lite, because Orange hasn't put in the fast equipment at the masts out here in the countryside. It trickles in at about dial-up speed, regardless of how many bars are up. Same thing on USB mobile dongles, which I have used on both Orange and O2.

I would like to hear more about the built in pedestrian GPS.
