I thought it was well worth 60p for the strawberries alone.

Lol...worldwide, still £1.99 in the tesco I work, they must have bought too much stock that expires soon.

I also bought some for £1.99 from Tescos (with cream) but mine were tasteless as well.

Needed the cream to give the some "taste"

Why Is This Not 10000 Degree's !!!!!!!!

Great deal, unfortunately didnt have this in the Kettering store today. It was £2 for strawberries and cream was 40p if bought together.
#17
Like the pic., love Strawberries, voted hot. ;)
#18
i got a punnet from Hampton, good price, didn't have much life left in them though.

For eating today i would say.
#19
Tasteless pay 1.99 from ms and buy some taste
#20
The tesco near where I work (Liverpool Street) had them at 1.99, but loads at half price expiring at 99p this evening, but not sure if you could get free cream with the reduced prices ones....
#21
Got some from Hampton today, just ate them and they were pretty good, especially for the price of course. Forgot to pick up the free cream though :x
Had the same deal yesterday as well, but for 89p, so I'm guessing they overbought.
#22
fab, will check it out tomorrow and report back

You do still get the free cream with the reduced ones. They had loads of the punnets of strawberries reduced to 50p in Chard yesterday and I got some and also got the cream for free. I think they taste pretty good for supermarket strawberries.

Unlike other supermarkets, with many items Tesco do not have a uniform price throughout their stores. Prices vary according to the competition as well as to the perceived wealth of the area in which the store is situated. This strategy also applies to their petrol stations.

That was a bizarre and blurry video. Nice quality when it was in focus though, what cam was that filmed on?
#30
yeah it goes really blurry (well not much in focus) in low light because it opens the aperture wide or something (I know nothing about photography).

Canon 500D.
#31
They were reduced to 20p in Great Yarmouth on Sunday and you still got the free cream. Not one bad one.
#32
Is was 75p with the free cream at the Tesco Extra in Sandhust. With large and sweet too...well worth the 75p.
#33
Good deal if you can get it although these are the Tesco favourite Elsanta variety, which is why they don't have much taste. If you're lucky enough to live near one I'd go to for farm shop strawberrys or try some different varietys at M&S to get strawberrys how they used to taste as a kid! :)
#34
This thread seems to relate to an item that is just about to reach its best before date, hence the price reduction from the nationwide normal price of £1.99. This deal was available in Tesco Salisbury on Sunday for 49p but it's not something that's relevant to anyone else in the country. Cold from me.
#35
good price, but tesco's strawberrys are tasteless i gotta agree. Much prefer M&S or sainsburys.
#36
it's not tesco's fault - it's the current obsession with long life and bash resistant elsanta strawberries.....try and get hold of any other variety or better still from a farm shop - or grow your own :-D
