Pure EVOKE MARSHALL (Portable DAB radio)
No only does this look the nutz, but the knobs all go up to 11. Just like in Spinal Tap! AWESOME !

The Pure Evoke 1XT Marshall Edition is quite simply unique. Take one standard Evoke 1XT and mix it with Marshall know how and you have a portable DAB radio that truly rocks!

With the Evoke 1XT at its heart, the Marshall Edition already has the makings of a class leading portable. The cabinet is made from solid wood, and not the more usual plastic. The 3" bass cone has been specially selected and uses active filters and a tuned bass port for meaty dynamics.

Other features include a scrolling text display, five presets, alarm, countdown timer and a USB connector for free updates.

Then comes the Marshall element

The Marshall Edition isn't simply a look-alike job, but uses genuine Marshall components including retractable handle, corner protectors, control knobs, vinyl surround and, finally, the famous badge itself. Combine this with the blood red display and metallic gold trim panels and aerial, and you have possibly the most desirable DAB portable ever made.

Just to top it all off, there's even a dedicated preset for the, digital only, Planet Rock station.

Pure genius!

I still have my Evoke-1 which sounds great apart from the stupid mains hum bug otherwise I'd buy one of these :p Planet Rock is one of the few stations I listen to too!

This is retailing at £80 - £100 in all other stores I can find.

I expect this will get hotter when some posts a link to a review?

Well here's one to start you off!

It does look as if they are only available in stores though, and they are now saying "Last few to clear", so best to 'phone first I reckon!

What do you think it is? :giggle:

My aunty has got this and it has a matching speaker for stereo sound. You have to buy the extra speaker on top of the DAB unit. If you can find one that is!

does this have optical out?

 na man it rocks out!!

ahem, sorry

It's got headphone stereo out which mutes speaker, Stereo out which leaves speak on and lets you plug into extra sound system, and aux speaker for the extra matching speaker you can buy. Oh and a "B" USB port for updating the firmware.

Had it for couple of weeks now and really pleased with it, sounds much bigger than it is if you know what I mean.

Oh btw best deal I found on it was:-
