If your car already has calls/telephone, does this interfere with that?

How do you switch to DAB? Would you select AUX on the head unit and it'll pick this up or does it plug into a port on the radio and the DAB option comes up (I have a DAB option on mine, but I don't gave DAB Module installed, so it doesn't do anything when you select it)

The functionality would depend on the car I guess...
I had the very first model of this item in an old car of mine - that worked by broadcasting DAB stations on an FM - so as long as the radio was on 88FM I would receive the DAB station I select on the Pure DAB Tuner... things might have changed now.

Your phone should be paired to your car bluetooth, so as long as you don't pair your phone to the DAB radio it shouldn't interfere

You can either use this via aux or the fm transmitter . And you can connect your phone to this via Bluetooth or leave it as is . Your choice

What's the difference between the 400 and 600 I don't see any

The 600 includes a microphone for handsfree Smartphone operation and taking calls, which clips to the driver's sun visor.

Looks good but that price is way too high for me. I'd have hoped you could get a DAB Single Din for this price.

I own a bog standard Focus and I got all that smartphone voice activation stereo/sat nav/hands free whatever screen in the centre console included, for what it's worth the DAB is always cutting out so you end up reverting to FM/AM because it's far less stress than the radio forever getting interrupted by signal drops

Where's the dab aerial on the Focus? I assume it has the same Sync 2 system as my Mustang does, the aerial is in the rear window glass. I usually find it works very well

One: I have no idea where my motor's aerial is and Two: I had to google what the connection with a Mustang was because I couldn't understand why you'd think my motor would have the same Sync 2 system(whatever that might be) your thing does.

You'll have noticed by now that I find motor vehicles about as interesting as I do a dead magpie's decomposing genitals and frankly I would rather sit on a train with bottle of Remy than sit behind the wheel of some Aston Benz Testapicka if I was having to drive any significant distance.

All I know is I bought a new Focus from the dealership at Woodford Bridge a couple of months ago, it has this airliner cockpit like dashboard that does way too many more things than I need it to, it's got a one litre engine so I don't contribute stupid amounts of dough to 11 Downing Street every time I fill the thing up and the road tax(sorry VED according to lycra clad fascists who fancy themselves as some poor man's Bradley Wiggins) is only an apple a year which is perfect for me.

Oh and the DAB is totally pony as I've stated already so I'd rather listen to FM, MW or the ipod instead.......if you're anywhere near Epping Forest feel free to come round and I'll let you investigate the whereabouts of this mythical digital aerial on my Mickey mouse motor :{

Because Ford use the same system across all their models sync 2, now sync 3 on models built later this year. But hey it doesn't matter, I can see you're not interested.

I'm not mate, I drive whatever vehicle for the simple reason that I have to drive that vehicle and nothing else.

Even though I've driven for a living for most of my working life I've never had the slightest interest in petrol head culture. On the road I find myself hating Audi/Range/Escort RS Turbo/any motor that has a ridiculously loud vroom vroom drivers even more than I hate riders of bicycles and horses.......for courses, pun very much intended :D

I used to have the older model, and for sure the shipped aerial was garbage (alot of drop outs) upgrading it to the magnetic type (about £20 off fleaby) made a massive difference to the signal, so I would highly advise anyone to do the same with this unit as well. Failing that, buy a car with DAB already built it....like my V60 volvo :p
